This effect was shot in a greenscreen studio. They
took two film cameras - one where the effect starts, the other, where the effect
ends. In between, they put photo cameras that faced the actor, on a track on
which the "camera" later rotates around Trinity. The two film cameras are both
running at their fix positions, while all the little photo cameras on the track
(in Matrix, they used about 150) shoot a photo almost simultaneously from
the first to the last camera on the track, while Trinity jumps.
Later in the computer, they took all those photo
shots and the two film-sequences from the film cameras and either put them
together in the correct order to a new sequence or they even morphed between
each photo to get a smoother rotation...

Can anyone tell
me how did the creators of matrix made the camera rotate around Trinity while
in the middle of the jump (at the beginning of the movie ). If you watched
music video "Guilty conscious" by Eminem you could see the same effect. I
think there is a video about this on Matrix DVD but there is no one in my town
with DVD.
Thanks,
Milos
