You use a footpedal to trigger the points and create a spline cage that u can then surface using 'u/v-loft'. The time consuming part is creating the lattice on the object that you wish to digitise. For this I used 'modelling tape' to create the mesh on the helmet(digitising a prototype model) and then traced it. I've found that depending on what object you try to digitise you can get very nice results very fast. Alot of concave points cause no end of problems. Keeping the object/microscribe fixed exactly can be annoying. Specs. http://www.vrweb.com/WEB/PRODUCTS/DIGITISE.HTM They are good but in the right situation but then I've only used it a couple of times and can no way be called an expert on them. Does it work? Is it accurate? Is it easy to use? Is it reliable? Is it worth it? etc. -- Subscribe/Unsubscribe at: http://mail.engram.net/guest/RemoteListSummary/3DSTUDIOMAX List courtesy of http://www.Engram.net
