There you will find a FAQ that will talk about the problems we have had with some of the Rainbow locks going south. It will tell you how to arrange an exchange. My 3DSMax3.1 copy is not working anymore. Suddenly, yesterday after booting my computer I got a "Hardware lock is not attached, or you are using a wrong lock, or the lock device drivers are not running" message. Okay. Therefore I unplugged it, tried to locate the Sentinel files, initialized them, reinstalled Max, tried to install it on a different computer with a fresh Windows98OS, without peripherals connected : no matter, I still get the error message. So I suspect a dongle failure. Could be the result of a possible encounter between the dongle and a vacuum cleaner hose... :( So here's my question Have anyone of you experienced similar problem ? Is there a workaround ? Or do I have to call Kinetix, and ask for a replacement dongle ? And how much would they charge for this ? And how long would that take ? Thanks in advance for any advice W -- Subscribe/Unsubscribe at: http://mail.engram.net/guest/RemoteListSummary/3DSTUDIOMAX List courtesy of http://www.Engram.net -- Subscribe/Unsubscribe at: http://mail.engram.net/guest/RemoteListSummary/3DSTUDIOMAX List courtesy of http://www.Engram.net
