You will find the more complex your object and animation get the more annoying it becomes. The Link controller is real straight forward. The only thing you have to remember is if you change any animation parameter of an object that is first or before in the link you have to go back in the link controller list and redo the frames at which the links are passed off. That way if you do an animation of one hand giving a box to another hand you do not have to align the multiple objects up perfectly to make it look seamless. If you still go with the multiple object visibilty track remember this when you copy and object be sure to make it an instance otherwise you will go crazy if you keep updating that object and having to do it multiple times. Also having all the objects just adds cluter to your viewports. The first thing I tried was the visibility track idea and it worked perfectly. The main advantage to doing it this way seems to be that it will be very easy to create the illusion that one character is passing an object along to another character. I know that wasn't my original intention, but I will have to have some interaction between characters as my project progresses. I'm not sure if the link controller can do that easily, although I haven't looked into it yet. I just remember at a seminar a few years ago an animator explained that when he did "Antics" for Nickolodean, the only way he could get the ants to hand the hula hoop to each other was through visibility tracks. I think they were using max 1.2 then, so Max 3 may have better solutions. Thanks, -BT BR> I would not use a visibility track nor an attachment controller nor the IK BR> blend. Use a Link Controller, I have had no significant issues with it and BR> Cstudio. The problem with IK blend is you have to animate the box to effect BR> the biped.
