I have found it is best(not always possible) to physique at the last possible moment. Even if it means deleting it and then reassigning it later. Especially when still setting keys in biped. It's alot easier to work on tweaking the mesh this way; but it also poses some problems. The most obvious being that any new vertices can't be explicitly assigned to bones; their assignment has to be interpolated. Do you physique pros always tweak meshes _under_ the Physique modifier? Or is there some way to collapse the new mesh changes without losing Physique's assignments? Also on a completely unrelated note why can't you set up shortcuts for the basic menu functions like move and scale and etc.?
