Hi all,

I am just now learning Max. I have R3.1 and am working my way through 
the prodigious reference volumes. However, I am interested in 
furthering my understanding with some 3rd party books. My question 
concerns some of the older books that I often see floating around 
both on ebay and most recently at my local CompUsa. In particular, a 
copy of "Inside 3d Studio Max Vol. III - Animation" for R2. Would 
this book still be somewhat useful even with R3.1? Normally I would 
only buy the latest edition but for $15 I thought it might be nice to 
have.

Any thoughts would be appreciated
