I mistakenly stated my file sizes as bytes, instead of kilobytes.  Sorry
for the confusion.  The original posting said:

"So far, the best I've been able to do is a combination of  using Sorensen
QuickTime at a resolution smaller than 320x240 at a "poor" compression
setting--giving me 34,155 bytes--and then compressing it farther using
RAR compression--giving me 19,711 bytes.  This is still too large for web
distribution"
