White Rice
Wash rice well in cold water. Let soak in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking.

Drain the rice well and let sit for 10 minutes without water. Heat oil a bit in a pot or a deep frying pan. Add rice and salt. Stir to coat the rice with the oil. Turn down to a low flame

Pour
bioling water over the rice until it reaches 1" above the rice surface. Keep on a low flame and covered until the water is absorbed and the rice is done. Do not stir.

Stir the rice once after you take it off the flame.


4 C long grain rice
2 T oil
1/4 t salt
