Hungarian Goulash
In a soup pot heat oil and saute beef chunks . When they start to brown, add onion slices. Saute until onion is browned nicely.

Add water, carrots, celery, potatoes, sourkraut, paprika, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, turn on low. Cover and cook on a low flame for 2 1/2 hours

Mix 2 T flour in 1 C water and add to goulash. Stir constantly for 5 minutes.

Serve with homemade bread.

NOTE; This is the traditional Hungarian goulash dish, straight from Hungry.

5 T oil
2 C cubed chuck beef
1 C onion ( sliced )
10 C water
1 C carrot slices
1 C turnip slices
4 Potatoes ( peeled and cubed )
1 C sourkraut ( drained )
1 t paprika
1/2 t salt
1/2 t course black pepper
1 C water
2 T flour
