Fruit Fritters
1 C flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
1 T sugar
1/2 C milk
1 T oil
1 egg
2 large tart apples
or fruit of choice
Oil for deep frying
Confectioner's sugar
Sift together dry ingredients. Mix piquid ingredients in bowl well. Add slowly to dry ingredients until blended with no lumps.

Peel, core and chop apples or fruit of choice. Add to fritter batter mixture, stir well.

Drop by tablespoon into hot deep frying oil. Fry until golden browned, drain on paper towels.

Sift confectioner's sugar over them.

Best served warm and fresh.
