| Cream margerine and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add vanilla, egg and maple syrup. Beat until smooth. Sift in the remaining dry ingredients and beat until all is blended. Form the dough into a ball. Pinch off enough dough to roll into a 1" ball. Roll 60 balls. Preheat oven to 200C. Place balls on an ungreased cookie sheet 1 1/2" apart. Top each ball with a pecan half. Bake until light golden. Remove and cool on a rack or on a flat tray. |
