Chocolate Chip Cake
1 C margerine
1 C brown sugar
1/2 C white sugar
3 eggs
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 C chocolate chips
3 C flour
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t baking soda
1/2 t salt

Powdered sugar
Cream margerine and sugars together in mixing bowl. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Sift in flour and add chocolate chips, baking powder and soda and salt.

Mix until a thick dough-like batter is formed. Scoop into a geased cake pan and smooth out until even.

Bake at 160 C on low rack until brown and center is hard. Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Serve warm or cold.

This recipe is great with butterscotch chips, too! 1/2 C walnuts may be added to batter if desired.
