BBQ Sauce
11/2 C ketchup
1 t mustard
2 T brown sugar
2 T vinegar or lemon juice
1 t crushed garlic
1/4 t black pepper
1/4 t chili powder or tabasco
1/2 t westershire sauce
1 C water
3 or 4 basil leaves
1 bay leaf
Mix together in sauce pan, heat on low burner until boiling. Remove all leaves. Pour over meat or chicken in a casserole dish. Baste while baking on a medium temperature to high, in a regular oven.

*Note: Burns easily so I half bake my meat/chicken before I start with the sauce. Watch closely.

*For orange BBQ, orange juice might be used instead of water omiting the lemon. Adding slices of orange on the bottom of the baking  pan/casserole is not only tasty, but an excellent garnish :)

*For beef 1 t chopped rosemary may be added or stick a small sprig under the meat.

Serve with favorite potatoes or French fries! White rice is extreemly tasty with this dish!

NOTES; Very easy and you don't have to wait for a beautiful day to light the grill in order to make this delicious dish! Brings a great mood on a rainy day!

Liquid hickory smoke may be added for a smoky flavor, but I personally prefer without.

Chicken BBQ is my son's favorite dish in the whole world. Nothing could please him more!
