Mya's Orange Cinnamon Rolls
1 French Pastry Dough Recipe
1/2 C melted butter
sugar
cinnamon
1 C finely chopped walnuts or pecans
orange zest from 1 orange
1/2 C sugar
2/3 C water
pinch of salt
Prepare French Pastry Recipe according to directions on that page.

Roll out to a 1/4" thickness. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle sugar, nuts and cinnamon  over surface generously. Roll tightly, pinching closed.

Slice the roll into 3/4" individual cakes. Place on parchment lined ( or greased baking sheet ) 1 1/2" apart. Let rise for 1/2 hour.

Bake at 160 C. until golden brown. Brush with syrup while rolls are hot.

Syrup:

Combine 1/2 C sugar, orange zest, salt and 2/3 C water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil while stirring to desolve the sugar. Let boil for 2 minutes on a high flame.

Brush onto rolls generously while hot.
