I was awaken by my dad to get prepared for lunch with grandma (dad's mum) in Petaling Jaya to celebrate Mother's Day. Sure I did and soon after my family and I went to pick up grandma from her place and had a spicy lunch at Taman Megah. Then it's back to Diablo II time and some reading before dinner came and catching The Recruit on the DVD. Midway thru the movie, the DVD got stuck in a few tracks and eventually I discovered that there were some dirt spots on the DVD surface. A quick clean and the problem is all but over. After the movie, I came upon the cabinet opposite my bed to dig back some old books, some are my old favourite game books in the 80s (heard of Joe Dever?), and to my delight, I found the The National Geographic copy about Genghis Khan and ancient Mongolia! I rushed to place those old books back into the cabinet and went straight for the history of this great conqueror. Since it's Mother's Day today, my family and relatives of my mum's side made a headstart yesterday evening and threw a BBQ dinner at one of my aunt's place to celebrate with grandma (mum's mum). What a night, filled with fun and laughter, plus a few rounds of ginrummy, which I beat off competition from my brother and cousins..muahaha! And I still forgot to wash my car................ |

| Oh
look it's Friday and definitely I am looking forward to the weekend
already. It should have been the day I told myself to wash my car as
she was beginning to lose her sparkle, but then she did have a slight
unexpected change to her outlook; her front number plate was missing
! That's because I took it off as the sticky tapes behind the plate
were wearing out. The back number plate also had the same condition,
and so I drove her to the nearest auto service centre to get it patched
up by Mr Tan, the owner of the outlet and my family mechanic too. After
2 over years of driving, it's also time to get my car for wheel aligning,
and since Mr Tan and his crew were too busy for the day, I made an appointment
with him on the coming Monday afternoon. Then the night fell, and I went over to my buddy's place as planned. The three of us got so occupied with Diablo-Two-mania that we skipped the RIFTS campaign. Unfortunately, my buddy's PC that I played my Camigwen was a little too slow for 3-player mode. Now, if only I could cough my sister up in lending me her lovely notebook computer for Tuesday's gathering ^_^ But first, I need to get her an optical mouse....hmmmmmmm. |

| The
day has started none than any better and I was awaken by the humidity
in my room. Immediately followed by my stomach growling, I knew it's
lunchtime. Would you believe it, I've been doing this almost everyday! It is also good to be back into my treasure hunting adventures, sailing the seven seas and trekking through the many mountains............No, not that, but my Diablo II character, Camigwen the Assassin! On this day, she managed to get past the Mount Arreat Ancients after a streak of bad lucks, and went on to kick Baal's ass, and thus completing the Nightmare mode at level 64. Midway through the game, I managed to organise a Diablo II and RIFTS RPG gathering with my two buddies of 20 years at one of their place tomorrow evening. For the first time, it'll be 3 of us teaming up and giving The Three Prime Evil Brothers and their minions a tough time (or the opposite? ^_^ ). It's also Episode 2 of our RIFTS campaign where we last stopped on Labour's Day. And now.......any idea what's Diablo II or RIFTS RPG? If you are curious enough, check them up here (Diablo II and RIFTS RPG). |

| On
the morning moon when the sky has just began to brighten, here on
my bed I laid staring blankly up towards the ceiling. The crimson
alarm clock on the shelf had shown me it was 7:02 am, which in another
hour I would find myself inside my Proton Waja on the way to office
at Mont' Kiara. Life had been subtle but relaxing, routine but somewhat
welcomed with glee. By the way, those were the days............. In these days, lifestyle has been different but it is certainly more relaxing than those days. Even my timezone for day and night are little extraordinary. After completing the new design of the website of my Counterstrike-loving gang, I moved my attention to my own home page. Should be completed at the time when I upload the contents to Geocities and get everything up and running. Being an avid fan of BattleMechs, I came up with my own page of the Mechwarrior IV Mercenaries PC game entitled Kodiak, Cougar and Co. It is at this day I finally got my new cheque book, It wasn't much hassle as I thought going to the bank at mid-afternoon was less congested. I was right. When I reached home, I had a good look at my car. Definitely need some cleaning and a legendary masseur, and guess who will it be? :) |
