Secret Candy
I silently slept - Noise of laughter In the distance Crept. Warm cuddly corner Squeaking floor boards Footsteps Closer. Sudden subtle pat Breeze of spirit Ghostly figure Sat. "Granddaddy?" My imagination Reach in pocket Secret candy. R.Zawi '01
A reminiscent poem of my wonderful grandfather (Allah yarhama) who used to always surprise me with candy. This poem is in "story-like" format, of me imagining my grandfather's ghost appearing infront of me, but, of course I was dreaming. But then I wake up, I find in my pocket a candy - secret candy. :)
