Skunks are small creatures and they have white markings and are black everywhere else. When skunks are frightened or in danger they will spray what is scaring it with a really bad smelling liquid. This liquid is called musk. The musk comes from a pair of glands close to the base of it's tail. Skunks eat insects and small animals such as beetles, grasshopers, caterpillars and crickets. They eat mice, rats, and other small rodents. They even sometimes eat eggs, fruit, grain, and even the rotting flesh of dead animals. Skunks don't have alot of natural enemys. Bobcats and Great Horned Owls have been known to attack them. Skunks live all across Canada, although they don't live in Newfoundland.
