Dear Derek
When the darkness came when your brother passed away, you brought a shining light into my life. I realize now that when you were born you were to be my shining light, not knowing that such a tragic event would happen to our little family. When I was falling to pieces you were here to comfort me. You never were inpatient with me, you always would say brother would not want you to be so sad. You became the man of the family at such a young age. You have made so many accomplishments and how your brother would be so proud of you. He always encouraged you to go through life in a positive fashion, to be a big boy and to do the things he never got to do. I bet he is looking down on you now and smiling and saying I new he would be everything that I had hoped. Your brother loved you so much and so do I.
