The interior isn't quite finished. All that is left to do is lay the carpet and headliner. We have a chrome shift knob, just haven't put it on, and I need to install seat belts as well.
15" EMPI wheels, low profile tires
2" lowered front I-Beam (still need to purchase KYB shocks)
B & M Short shifter and EMPI quick shift kit
Hunsaker Racing Seats
'32 Ford Taillights
Louvered Running Boards
Numerous shaved parts
1 Piece front window kit
I am not sure of all the specs, but this is what I do know:
87mm Pistons
Lightweight rods
Balanced crank
Engle Camshaft
Aluminum crank pulley
Performance cylindar heads
Performance Pushrods and tubes
Performance header and exhaust
Deep-Sump oil pan
2 barrel carb
etc...
In the future I would like to install adjustable coil-overs and sway bars from "The Real Source". And I want to get a front disc brake conversion. I definetly want to build a much hotter motor. Im thinking about getting a rebuild kit from The Real Source. Its a 2176cc stroker kit, the highest performance kit they make. I also need to get electronic ignition, better fuel pump, 6-12v conversion, generator-alternator conversion, dual carbs and a few other things before I can do that though.
Well, we have a little wiring left to do, nothing major. I need front shocks, and the drum brakes need new shoes. The gas tank is currently out of the car because we took it out to pressure wash and clean the inside of it. Of course, carpet and headliner as well as the audio system are still out of the car. The front windows that go in the doors are out, and I need to build a liscence plate bracket under the rear fender. After that the car is done. I can't wait to drive it. I've only driven this car once, with a bad steering column and front end, and the old tires were on it...and there was no brakes. It didn't run too well either, needing points, spark plugs and a distributor cap and rotor. Just went around my block at 10mph...After the tune-up it ran like a champ, just like a new motor should run. The problem was the car sat for a year after the previous owner had the engine built. He just lost interest. More to come, tell me what you think of it.....
