The Club

It was a night just like this in the summer when we were kids.
There was a fire up in back. The flames were high in sky so black.
The goers getting antsy without the drink there.
No place would sell, but we said we knew where.

We were stupid, we were young. But we wanted to have fun.

Nobody could see but mother nature herself. The doors were unlocked so we cleared off the shelves.
Taking all the time and lime and the Beam, Sam Adams the Schnapps and the Irish Cream.
Waltz right out that place with everything you love. We got out fast and we drank that stuff.
So we did it again, this time taking more, then I heard that bottle crash to the floor.

We were stupid, we were you but we wanted to have fun.
The only care, was on our back. We hiked down in the pitch black.
