| Chapter Three "Jess, what's wrong? You've been avoiding me for the past week. Have I done something to offend you?" He was standing behind her she could feel the warmth of his breath on the back of her neck. She prayed that the water worm warm up faster. She had no idea Zack was going to be here. He was supposed to be at the fight with the rest of the gang. That's why she hadn't gone so what was he doing here? "What makes you think I'm avoiding you?" She didn't turn to face him, her eyes remained fixed on the kettle in front of her. "The face that when I walk in a room you walk out was a big clue." She poured the hot water in the bottle of powdered milk. And hurriedly screwed the top back on. "You're imagining things." She turned pushing past him. "Jess." He caught her arm and forcing her to turn and face him. "Leave me alone Zack." She demanded and hurried from the room. Not looking back at him. She prayed he wouldn't follow her as she rushed back to Celia and Blake's room where Brent awaited his dinner. Rea looked up to see Jesse standing in her doorway her lips a pale smile. "Hey Jesse. Come in." She finished placing a final to pins in her raven hair to secure her bun. Then turned to face Jesse a small plastered across her painted red lips. "What can I do for you?" "I have a problem and I think you'll be able to help me." Rea was intrigued now. "I'm listening." "Zack's going to be at that new club on Rivers road tonight Josh told me and I need you to help me get ready." "That's not going to be a problem. You're not going alone are you?" "No, Lola, Sky and Tira are coming and no doubt you are too." "Defiantly." His blue eyes were focused on Jesse who stood across the room from him. He'd barley recognized her when she and the others had worked through the door. She wore long black leather boots that finished just below her knees, her skirt was made of black leather and reached barley half way up her thighs. Her black top had a cross at the front across her breasts hardly covering her. And with all that glorious red hair she had every guy in the room drooling over her. And he hated it. He hated the way they were looking at her and the comments they were making about her. "Has he noticed?" Jesse asked turning her eyes towards Lola. "Honey, every guy here's noticed you. Zack's no exception." Rea grinned she'd known Zack for nearly four years and he'd had his share of girlfriends but she'd never seen him look at anyone of them the way he looked at Jesse. Jesse glanced across the room at Tira who was now swaying and giggling. "Now, there's one girl who can't hold her drink. I best go and help Lola, Josh is on his way to get her home. Will you be okay on your own?" Jesse nodded. She watched as Rea hurried across the room to support Tira who was staggering to the door. Jesse doubted she'd see Rea for at least an hour she'd no doubt stay and flirt with Josh before she returned back to the club. "Hi I'm Dan. Can I get you a drink?" Jesse turned to see a man with wavy brown hair and bright brown eyes. Jesse smiled she could see Zack out of the corner of eye and smiled. "Sure why not?" Zack watched Jesse smile at the man in front of her he was at least 20. He felt angry and new he was jealous. He'd never been jealous before in his life but he was. He couldn't sit here and watch as that guy drooled over her. He quickly walk over to them, he could help himself he wanted Jesse and he wasn't about to let her sleep with some guy she'd just met. "I need to talk to you now." Zack's voice was firm. Jesse turn to look at him as he placed his strong hand on her arm. "I'm busy." She quickly yanked her arm from beneath his strong hand. "Jesse!" "You heard her, now leave." Dan turned to face Zack a smug grin plastered across his lips. Zack saw that smug smile and slung his clenched into his face sending him to the ground. "Zack." Jesse yelled looking towards the man who lay holding his bleeding nose on the ground. Zack paid no attention to the man on the ground. He turned to Jesse clasping her arm and dragging her into the empty toilets, he turned locking the door, keeping her arm in a tight grip. He turned to face her, anger clear in his blue eyes. He yanked her against him, his mouth grazing hers. His tongue plunging deep in her slightly open mouth. Ramming her bare back against the cold wall behind her. His body pinning her against it, refusing to let her go. His hands tugging at her clothes slipping beneath her top, roughly foundling her breasts. She began to push at him struggling to free herself from his grip. She wanted him but not like this. "Zack please you're hurting me." He stopped abruptly at her words. He stepped back releasing his grasp of her wrists. He stared at her bright crimson face. He raked his hand through his hair. "Is that what you want? To be like them?" Zack almost yelled as he pointed to the locked door. "Like those stupid whores out there? Well is it?" His eyes never leaving her flushed face. "No I want ..." She broke off her pale green eyes staring up at him. She didn't want to lose him but she couldn't live like she had been these past few weeks it was killing her. "What? What do you want Jesse? Tell me." He stepped forward grabbing her shoulders and shaking her slightly. "I wanted you to want me, as much as I want you." She yelled jerking away from him. Sparkling blue tears now rolling down her burning cheeks. "And you think that's what I want? A bitch? A slut who sleeps with every guy she meets? Well I don't. Jesse you're so much better than them. You're beautiful, sweet and kind." His voice was calm now the cloud of anger that had once covered his blue eyes was now gone. "Then why don't you want me?" Her bright emerald eyes were firmly fixed on his strong face. "You're my best friend what we have is special. I don't want to lose that. I don't want to lose you." "That's bull and you know it. You know what Zack Forget it." She quickly pushed past him, rushing to the door. Zack grabbed her wrist stopping her. "Let go of me." She ordered anger deep in her voice. "No!" He yelled jerking her around to face him. "You've made it clear that you don't want me. So just leave me alone." She struggled to release her wrist but gave up when she realized he was too strong for her. He looked at her flushed tear stained cheeks he hated hurting her. He released her wrists, his hands stroking up her arms to her shoulders. She closed her eyes a moment his soft touch making her forget how angry she was at him. Her skin was soft under in fingers, he couldn't help but wonder how she would feel beneath him. He shook his head clearing his might. If he thought like that he might just take her hear on the cold floor. "Do you want to know the truth?" He asked in almost a whisper. "Yes." "You drive me crazy. Sometimes I want to strangle you and others I want to make love to you. But I wont do anything to risk our friend ship." His hand lightly touch her worm cheek. He loved the feel of her. He wished she new how much she meant to him. "I was at the new bar the other week. I saw you and that girl. I couldn't handle it Zack if felt like you'd ripped my heart out. I wanted it to be me you were with. I can't be your friend any more Zack. I'm sorry. It's either all or nothing." She bit down on her bottom lip. She hadn't wanted to give him an ultimatum but she had to. "Jess, please don't do this." "I've tried to be a friend but it hurts to much to know that you and other girls are " She paused feeling tears sting her eyes. "I never slept with Mandy if that's what you think. I didn't want her I wanted, I want you." He whispered softly unable to fight his feeling for her anymore. "Does that mean you want us to be a couple?" "Yeah if you want us to." He gave up he new she meant that she couldn't be just his friend anymore and if he wasn't truthful neither could he unless he was prepared to hit every guy who liked her. Jesse flew her arms around his shoulders her lips lightly pressing against his. His mouth was warm and his kiss was soft and tender unlike before. "Let's get out of here." He whispered against her mouth. Zack watched her from the doorway of his living room. She was sitting on the leather sofa that sat in the middle of the huge room. She felt his eyes on her and immediately she turned to face him. "What?" She asked when she saw the small smile playing across Zack's lips, his eyes intent on her. "You look so beautiful." A slight flush appeared on her cheeks at his words. She'd desperately wanted to hear that from him since she'd first met him. She saw something in his eyes. Hunger for her? "I didn't know your flat was so big." Swiftly she changed the subjected glancing around the huge furnished room. It was more like a movie stars apartment with one of the walls made of a huge pain of glass over looking miles and miles of the city. She stood and walked over to the huge window staring into the dark night. Bright street lights flickering below her. "It's amazing." "I new you'd like it. You always loved the view from the roof at the boarding school." Zack smiled recalling how he'd find her on the roof a blanket wrapped around her. Asleep under the stars. Slowly she turned to face him a small smile playing across her lips. "It's getting late. I'll drive you home if that's what you want." He didn't want her to go. But he wouldn't pressure her not when she meant so much to him. "I don't want to go home. I want to stay here with you." Slowly she moved towards him. Her head moving to his. Her mouth closing over his. Slowly he set her slightly away from him. "Jess are you sure?" "I love you Zack. I want to. I want you." "I love you too." He kissed her lightly, before scooping her in his arms. He hurried from the room, down the short hall way to his room. Kicking open the door. Slowly he walked over to the bed. His heart hammering in his chest. He wanted her now. He wanted to be inside her filling her with himself but he refused to rush. Gently he bent down holding her still close to him, he drew back the bed covers. Slowly he lowered her onto the soft sheets. She felt the bed give as he sat beside her on the edge of the bed. Her emerald eyes were now fixed on his face. His hand reached out, his fingers lightly stroking the soft tresses of auburn hair from her face. Zack slowly bent his head his mouth finding hers. He kept the kiss light and undemanding. "Zack I have to tell you something." She whispered against his mouth. He lifted his head to look at her. "What?" He asked softly his hand stilled on her arm. "I'm a virgin." She turned her head to look at the pale ceiling above her as she poke the whispered words. "I thought you said that you and your ex had slept together." "I lied." She turned her head to face him. "When I first met you, you had loads of pretty girls hanging around you all of them a lot prettier than me and they new what guys liked and I thought that if you new the truth you wouldn't want me." "Of course I want. You have no idea how jealous I was when I thought that some guy had taken you. When I thought that his hands had been all over you." "You're not mad at me?" His lips curved into a smile. He felt a warmth low in his belly at the thought of being Jesse's first. "No, I'm not mad at you. I'm glad you told me." Slowly he brought himself above her. His heart beginning to race as his lips met hers. She parted her lips immediately, allowing his tongue to explore the softness and the warmth of her mouth. Sending, sensuous shivers shooting through her body. The urgent desire building in both of them. His hands wild on her body as they freed her of her confining clothes. Quickly he jerked off his own clothing, their bodies now pressed together flesh against flesh. His mouth closed over hers once again his tongue gentle, his lips soft against hers. Slowly his hand moved to cup her breast. She gasped into his mouth unable to stop herself. "It's okay. Trust me. I wont hurt you." His thumbs lightly began to stroke over the hard, pink peaks of her breasts. She moaned into his mouth, her back arching. Her hands diving through his hair tugging at it, drawing him closer to her. His lips pressed along her soft slender neck, tracing patterns down her body until he reached the hard peaks of her breasts replacing his fingers he teased her with his tongue. She moaned softly, she was sure she'd explode as the sensations began to build up inside her, absorbing her. Slowly his hands slid down her body his fingers stroking every part of her. She gasped as his fingers found her through the nest of curls between her thighs. She was blushing he saw when he lifted his face to look at her. His mouth cupped hers, his tongue entering her mouth. "Part your legs." He said softly against her mouth. She reluctantly did as he commanded. His fingers now softly probing in out of her his thumb, stroking, caressing her. Her hips jerked wildly against his fingers. She moaned into his mouth over and over, her body tensing as the powerful waves of sensations shot through her body her mind forgetting everything except him and the feeling coursing through her. She screamed, her hands fisting at her sides as she reached her release her body tensing, then growing limp as the flood of the powerful emotions took control of her. She lay beneath him her dazed eyes staring up at him. He smiled down at her. His lips lightly brushing her trembling mouth. He came down between her thighs. Jesse could feel him, the heat, the hardness of him, straining against her. He was slow as he came inside her, he had to grit his teeth at the feel of her muscles around his. She bit her lip as he came deeper into her, she hurt but she wouldn't stop him. He felt her maiden head and drove into her, he wanted it to be over he hated her hurting. She cried out unable to stop herself the burning pain now consuming her, taking over from the wash of wonderful sensations she'd felt only moments before. Her body twisted beneath his as she tried to release herself from him. He pressed his body firmly against hers trapping her beneath him. He tried to stop but it was too late he drove wildly into her over and over until he was panting above her, his body tensing, then violently shuddering as he spilled himself inside her, a loud moan erupting from deep within his throat. He fell onto her, his whole body limp. She lay still beneath him, tears seeping through her closed eye lids. He could feel her body shuddering beneath his and swiftly brought himself above her on his elbows. "Don't cry sweetheart." She quickly opened her eyes, hiccuping back her tears. His lips lightly pressed against her cheeks, kissing away her tears. As he began to withdraw from her, he felt her arms tightening around his back. "It's okay sweetheart." He kissed her forehead and quickly came out of her, lowering himself on the bed beside her. He drew her against his side, wrapping his arms tightly around her. She lay her head on his shoulder, hearing his heart strong and steady in his chest. The hot, bright rays, beamed through the clear window onto the two entwined figures lying in the centre of the huge bed. Zack bent his head slightly his lips brushing against Jesse's closed eyes. A small, sweet smile curved on the corner of Jesse's lips as he bright emerald eyes stared up at him. "You look just like an angel." He said softly, running his fingers through her thick auburn hair. "Do you still hurt?" He asked softly his tender blue eyes fixed on her flushed face. "No." She lied she hated herself for the way she'd acted the previous night and the last thing she wanted was for Zack to be remind of what a fool she'd been. Jesse quickly slid from beneath the bed covers, aware that he was staring at her, but she didn't care he'd seen her, kissed her, he'd even been apart of her the previous night. She felt his gaze burn her as she turned back to look at him. She flushed crimson as her gaze fell to the dried blood on her thighs. He grinned unable to help himself. "Maybe we should both take a bath." He suggested climbing from beneath the bed covers. He hurried over to her, aware that her eyes were fixed on him. He looked just like a god with his sandy blond hair, his tanned, muscled chest and powerful thighs. He reached her before her gaze could explore him further, his strong hands drawing her against him, his arms tightening around her slender waste. Her firm breasts pressing against his chest, she reached up her lips covering his. Chapter Four "It's so incredibly beautiful here." She leaned back against his chest, his strong arms wrapping tightly around her, his chin resting on the top of her hair. She never wanted to leave. Her fingers ran trough the long blades of grass beside her, her eyes fixed on the shimmering crystal water before her. "I used to come here when I was a child, when my parents were fighting I came to here to escape." His voice was low, strange. She new there was something there something odd in his voice but she just couldn't work out what. "I used to lay here in the grass and star up at the stars, and just think about things, when dawn started to creep into the sky I'd head home. When the fights became more frequent this is where I hid. The fights eventually got worse and I got used to them. I remember the final time I returned home it was around five in the morning and had just started to turn light. There was complete silence as I climbed back through my bedroom window. I knew something wasn't right but I dismissed it. I remember walking down the stairs. I can never forget what I saw when I walked into the living the image sometimes still haunts me. The cream carpet was completely soaked in bright red blood. There was a body lying motionless in the centre of the floor, my mother. I'm not sure what happened after that I remember the police coming and taking me to my aunts. My mum died in the ambulance all of the beatings he'd given her had had there effect, he'd murdered her. She'd blamed herself ever time he'd hurt her. I'd begged her to leave him but she hadn't she claimed he loved her, he needed her. The truth was he hadn't loved her how could you hurt someone you love? He wanted a punch bag and she'd been it. I was told that he'd driven into a truck two days later, he'd died in the hospital. The doctor said he hadn't felt any pain he'd been drunk when he did it. But I wished he had. I wish he'd have known the pain he'd inflicted on my mother but he had mores the pity. The other driver had been lucky to survive, he'd suffered a slight limp but luckily nothing more." Jesse remained silent in his arms, she'd herd his anger herd his pain and wished that should could take it way. Maybe she couldn't but she'd try. "I'm sorry." He spoke a few moments later hers arms tightening slightly around her as if trying to a sure himself that he was no longer that lost child, running from the anger and the pain. "I didn't mean to tell you that." "I'm glad you did." She twisted in his arms so she could see his face. "Can I tell you something?" "Of course." "My mum died when I was five years old. I can barely remember her. She died giving birth to my little sister Katie. From the day he brought her home he gave her all his attention he loved her anyone could see that. She looked just like my mother so beautiful with that blond hair and grey eyes. I guess that's why he never loved me. I look like my nana I have her green eyes and her auburn hair. My father never liked her. I soon learned how much he hated me. When I was nine I came home and found my father waiting for me. He was angry he'd lost a lot of money in shares and had decided to take out on me. After that he didn't need an excuse to beat me, he did it when ever he wanted to. It wasn't so bad until I turned 11 and he used his belt, sometime a cane, once even the fire poker but it left to much blood and he couldn't have Katie seeing it. When I was 14 he went on a trip to Paris his mother was ill. His plane crashed on the way there and he died. My grandma died a day later. Me and Katie were sent to my aunts. My uncle my mothers sisters husband was a real pig. He got drunk nearly every day. About a week after I'd moved there he came into my room. I'd been awake when he came in the light was off. He left the door slightly a jar. I was puzzled at first. What was he doing in my room? When he moved closer I smelt the alcohol on his breath I was terrified. He tried to force me to." Jesse paled she felt sick at the memory she'd never told anyone before but she trusted Zack. "He started to rip at my clothes then my aunt came in. They argued and I herd him leave. She'd hugged me and told me she couldn't protect me or Katie while we were living with her so she'd have to send us away. She'd told me that when she could divorce him she would and once she got a job she'd come for both of us. I was 15 when we were sent to the home, me and Katie were split almost immediately they'd found a temporary foster home for her but no where for me. I wish I new where she was she new I loved her." She felt the tears rise in her eyes but refused to let them fall. "Oh Jess, I'm sorry." His lips lightly brushed her forehead. "It'll be okay. We're together now, I'll never let anything happen to you. I'll never hurt." It had been almost two days since she'd last seen Zack. She'd left him in the middle of the night after they'd fell asleep in each others arms. It had been amazing when they'd arrived at his from the river. They'd talked and talked about nothing and everything. Jesse was glad that she'd told him about her past it had been something she'd wanted to do from the very first time she'd met him. But it still hurt and she wasn't sure that relieving the pain was a good thing. |
