Grandpa Thorn

In the movies, they always cry
while waiting for, someone to die

But I don't cry, I sit cold
They say to me, "He was old"

A tender hug, a gentle kiss
aren't the things, that I will miss

The mind that burns, behind old eyes
that mind and soul should never die

They sit and wait for you to go
into a world I'll never know

For your past life, I'll never know
Who am I? Who were you?

A life I could, not understand
They insist you where a great man

This slow painful death isn't suitable
for one whos life was so beautiful

Grandpa darling, where does it go?
That mind of your I'll never know

Who you were, I'll never see!
But they say, "see you in me"
