School is NOT the place for masturbation.
How would you like to be the
parent whom the teachers look at with awe and wonder because your child can't
keep his hands off of his penis during instructional time? The more
conservative you are, the more you gripe and whine about all the things we
teachers do wrong, the greater the chances are that your child, (YES, YOUR
CHILD) is not only fascinated but
ENTHRALLED with the wonders of self stimulation.
Female children are also considerably more "touchy feely" in elementary school than one might think. They feel no embarrassment about rubbing their little chests or "privates". They are bewildered when discreetly told to "stop that".
It doesn't matter whether you are for, or against masturbation, it happens.
You owe it to yourself
(because we see your kids and we wonder about you)
to teach your children that
'keeping your hands to yourself' does NOT mean 'self love'!!
Teach your children whatever
you believe about masturbation,
but please, please tell them it is never appropriate at school, NO MATTER WHAT.
