Yeah, Manners. We teachers have something lovingly called "lunch duty". OK not all teachers... the classroom teachers are protected from lunch duty from, well, their classes. How so? Because they are guaranteed a duty free lunch. Still, someone has to watch your children to assure their safety.
Ever have lunch and then do lunch duty? Didn't think so.
The problem is that children,
when not in the presence of their parents,
do stupid stuff like pour grape juice into their turkey and noodles. OR
they do the ever popular "train wreck" thing on a regular basis.
Then there's the ol' talking with their mouth full routine.
Bet you're chuckling just now...
It's a losing battle for those
poor souls who are stuck with Lunch Duty... Perhaps instead of teaching
your children better table manners, you could simply volunteer to help with
lunch duty?
