| I watched the coolest movie tonight, at first i thought it'll be very dull because its set back in the renaissance days in England. The story was soo absurd that i really enjoyed it. A princess wanted to get her families throne back so she concocted a plot against those who stole her throne years before. Among the people she tricked were an older man who was suppose to be some kind of famous and respected philosopher who believed that love is a waste of time and swore never to love, then there was his sister who wasn;t as old as he. She also swore not to love, the two of them lived in this secluded fortress and hadn;t gone into town for 3 years, they lived a very dreary life. Also, living with them was a handsome young man named Ajees(i like that name), he'd lived with them from early childhood when his parents were murdered. Got the picture?---we have these 3 people living in a beautiful fortress or castle in the woods, the other person with them was an old fat gardner. Enters the picture to intrude upon their quiet lives: two young women dressed like men, arrived under the disguise of being men. The main woman was really a princess who was searching for the lost prince ( her parents had killed his parents),who didn;t know he was a prince ( i think). She saw him naked one day in the forest and she fell in love with him from that point, her goal was to enter the lives of those 3 people living in the castle and get that handsome Ajees to fall in love with her and to reclaim the throne. It was very difficult for the young woman disguised as a man to enter the castle, she wanted to stay for a while in the castle so she could get to know the prince and when he fell in love with her she had planned to tell him who she really was. She had to convince the great philosopher to allow her to stay for a few nights but she was not even able to get to meet the great philosopher face to face. She had to convince his old maid sister to convince him to allow her to stay. Since the princess entered their lives under the guise of being a young man she decided to woo the old maiden woman, leading her to believe that she loved her upon first sight, that way the maiden woman would talk her brother the philosopher into allowing her to stay a few nights on the premises. It took alot of wooing, but eventually the maiden submitted to the young woman(whom she thought was a man), the princess convinced the old lady that she loved her madly and wanted to marry her, therefore the old maid really put her heart into convincing her brother to let the young woman stay. Meanwhile, the clever princess (dressed as a man) finally got into see the famous philosopher who was very impersonal and vowed never to love, he thought love is a silly human flaw. The old philosopher saw thru her disguise and realized that the young man was really a woman, he tried to throw her out, but failed. The princess |
seduced the philosopher eventually with silly talk
about how she madly loves him (loved him at first site), and how she wants him
to humiliate her and hurt her so she'll no longer be in love with him, and
she finally gets her way and he falls in love with her. Meanwhile, she's
chased down Ajees the hidden prince and he discovered that the princess was
not a man as he'd thought, but a beautiful young woman. He admitted
his love for her (even though he also vowed not to love), still he didn;t
know that she was a princess, the evil princess he'd hated his whole life
because her parents killed his parents. The philosopher asked the
princess to marry him, she said yes, also, the princess asked his old sister
to marry her(she got a bit carried away with her plot), finally the brother
and sister (on the same day) announce to one another that they're getting
married, then it comes out that they're marrying the same person, of course
they both crumble in tears and hysteria that they'd been dooped. The
princess meanwhile had gone off and gotten herself all dressed up in her
princess dress and had her hair done! she arrived in her royal carriage and
announced who she was, apologizing for the big deception. She announced that
she was giving up her throne to Ajees and that he is the king. Ajees was
disgusted with her and ordered her to be taken away and never to return,
Meanwhile the old maiden discovered electricity with some contraption she
invented and the philosopher was singing like a lunatic in french, Ajees
came to his senses and got on his horse, caught up with the royal carriage
and hopped into the carriage and tackled the princess with a big kiss! I
guess they lived happily ever after. Kind of grossed me out when the
princess kissed the old maid on the lips in a passionate kiss and embraced
to make her disguise seem real! It was a strange movie, but enjoyable, one i
won;t soon forget:). I"m going to bed now, its late and my nose is

So, this is what day two looks like! its a sunny day
today,no rain, we've had rain here in dhahran for the past few days, its
kind of nice to see the sun again! I got two strange emails today, a
few days ago a man from a poor country wrote to me asking me for money, he
didn;t even know me, i didn;t reply back to him. Today i got an email
from him bitching me out for not sending him money, he was shouting at me
that if i were in his position then i would feel for him. I wrote him back
saying its rude to ask a stranger for money, not even knowing if that
stranger has money to spare, i also said that if i had extra money i have
friends whom i'd help first before helping a stranger. The other
email was from a man in the u.s. who collects mail from saudi arabia, he
wants me to send him used mail! well, wouldn;t the mail be personal? i asked
him what's his interest in used mail from saudi arabia, i got some wierd
idea or plot that he'll use it for a sinister plan;), I'm kind of
stupid probably for even answering these strange emails----i shouldn;t open
them, i might get a bad virus on my computer like i got a while back, thats
no fun;). What will i do today? not much,
i'll just sit here in my old sweater with the holes in it--watching tv or
doing something on the pc. I wish we had some type of thing where we can
call our friends on a mobile phone and see them while we're talking to them,
that'd be great! all for now***

Today is Saturday, thank
goodness the weekend is over, i hate the weekends even in the u.s.! I don;t
need a "day of rest", maybe if i worked during the week i'd look forward to
the weekend. When i was a teenager i used to live for the weekends. Today
has been uneventful, my phone line doesn;t work well, it works 5 minutes out
of every few hours! i guess i'm lucky that it works at all. I don;t
understand how it can work one minute and not the next, one of lifes great
mysteries:). I found some dirty websites yesterday, i shouldn;t have
been curious to look at them, only the front page was unblocked, luckily the
rest of it was blocked. I found these dirty sites under geocities
communities for mens health! the one website was soo disgusting, it was
about incest----how can people make this sick stuff, how can people even
think about it or want to do it----their poor souls are soo twisted and
messed up, i hope i never meet anyone like that. I think geocities should
ban these abnormal and mentally sick websites, they're not good for anyone
and just let other sick people know that theres someone else doing what
they're doing. It should be illegal to make these sites with these topics. I
also saw a site for saudi women and their rights, that one was blocked! now
that one got my curiosity up!
I'm working on planning a
party for the end of testing week, i hope we can get alot of people here to
have a good time, i really hate organizing these big get togethers---i don;t
know why i decided to do it! more later*** |

Back again! i woke up with a cold---the first one in a
long time---i'm hoping it'll finish fast, i'm really a big baby when it
comes to these things! Despite being sick i went shopping today for food and
had a terrible coffee- can;t believe i paid for that. I didn;t do alot
today, i watched part of a movie and cooked dinner, chatted with a dear
friend for a few minutes. I made a new friend today, a turkish lady, i used
to chat with her husband, but now i'll chat with her, in her country its
illegal for muslim women to cover their hair at work, maybe at school also,i
don;t know, even in the u.s. women are free to cover their hair at work and
school.
Today another space shuttle made history, but in
the wrong way, it blew up, thats really a loss for all of us. I sure hope
its not connected to terrorism. We'll be hearing about this on the news for
weeks to come i'm sure. That's all for today:)

| Man, the time is flying, seems like just yesterday it was december, now its february,our winter is almost over, back to the sun everyday and extreme heat. I have this miserable cold, i wouldn;t complain but i feel like i have a fever, i have that all over bad feeling. Today i spent the entire day on the couch watching tv, i watched bbc prime mostly, i enjoyed the gardening show where that gardener woman picks a group of people who have a special spot that looks terrible----then she helps them plan a garden, the one on the roof of the chinese peoples apartment building in england was really interesting. I also watched a long movie in the evening about two teens who were in love and their parents forbid their love so they killed themselves in a car---they sat in the car together in the garage with the engine running, somehow some toxic fumes filled the garage and they died, it was really horrible to see the parents dragging the dead bodies out of the car and laying them on the grass. Suicide is a terrible thing, i remember a boy i knew in highschool who's father killed himself in the car with exhaust fumes, and the house across the street from my parents---the man blew his brains out with a gun, and my parents friends whose son killed himself, its very common i guess to get upset with your life and want to die. The good thing for muslims is that they know that if they kill themselves they'll go to hell so most don;t kill themselves. When u decide its time to kill yourself----i feel that that is a signal that its time to make a dramatic change in your life. I've never felt i'll want to kill myself, but i have had the feeling that if i die i don;t care, thats a sign of depression. |
