Hello, this is my first fan fic. So, if you don’t like it, it’s normal: I’ll try to do better next time. I’ve already written a lot but… not in English. This is the first part out of three episodes. This one takes place right after "The One Where Rachel Quits" in season 3. I think all the C&M’s; R&R’s and even P&J’s fans will be happy even if they’ll not all be dating each other after ten lines, which would make no sense. So I hope you will enjoy it and I’m really looking forward to all your reactions.

[Monica and Rachel’s Phoebe is there, drinking coffee It’s the morning]
(Joey enters)
PHOE: Hey!
(Joey doesn’t answer He has a dreamy look on his face)
PHOE: Joey?
(No answer)
PHOE: (Giving up) How was your date?
JOEY: You can’t imagine how great it was!
PHOE: Did you sleep with her?
(Joey takes his time, thinking)
JOEY: For once, no…
PHOE: Whow! She really must be great!
JOEY: She is… (with a smile) And I’m sure I’m sleeping with her next time.
(Phoebe has a "I should know it" look)

[Central Perk All is there except for Joey and Phoebe]
ROSS: So, honey, what will you do about your job?
RACH: I really don’t know if I should stay, y’know.
CHAN: At least, now you’re in the fashion system
(All glares at him)
CHAN: What? I’m trying to help!
MON: (under her breath) Successfully, as usual!
CHAN: I heard ya!
(Monica gives him an innocent smile)
ROSS: Anyway, what have you decide, Rach?
RACH: I really don’t know what to do. Y’know, Ross, I’m not like ya, I do have a real aim.
(Ross looks at her, a bit hurt)
[Joey and Chandler’s apartment Joey is there with his date: Kelly]
(They’re making out on the couch)
KELLY: You’re really a great guy, Joey.
JOEY (proud of himself): Of course, I knew that.
(He moves to kiss her again but Kelly breaks the kiss.)
KELLY: Y’know, I didn’t want to tell you that but, since we’re beginning a relationship, I would like you to know that… I was a bit drunk last night… In fact, I wasn’t really…But, that is not the point, the point is…is… that, not on purpose of course, I slept with a guy, another guy.
JOEY: Yeah, of course another guy: if it was me, I would know it! (Yells) How could you do that to me?
KELLY: Like you have never done that to other girls!
JOEY (not sure of himself): No…
KELLY: Joey?
JOEY: Ok, ok, I’ve done that… but not to girls I care about!
KELLY: You care about me? Ow! That is so sweet!
JOEY (a bit mad): That’s not the point! (Frankly) If you had really wanted to have sex, you could have come to me! That is, if you have cared a bit about me.
KELLY: I care, I care. But, I need a little change, sometimes, y’know?
JOEY (yelling again): YOU NEED A LITTLE CHANGE? But we haven’t even sleep together one time!
KELLY (annoyed): If I had known you would yell at me, I wouldn’t have told you.
JOEY: SORRY!
(Joey gets up and leaves.)
(Kelly doesn’t move)
(We see the apartment’s door opens again and Joey comes back.)
JOEY: That’s my apartment! YOU should leave!
(Kelly gets up, we can se that she doesn’t really care about what happened between them and she leaves.)
[Monica and Rachel’s the next day Everyone is there, eating breakfast as Joey walks in, looking really depressed.]
ALL: Hey/ Hey Joey…etc
PHOE: Hey Joey, you look bad! What happened?
JOEY: Remember that Kelly girl I talk to you ‘bout?
(Phoebe nods.)
JOEY: She cheated on me!
ALL: We’re sorry!
(They all get up and hug him.)
MON: What happened?
JOEY: Don’t you listen? Anyway, she told me she wants to continue our relationship but that she just wanted to change of guy a bit… We hadn’t even slept together yet!
(The guys look sad for him, the girls step back and have a "Yeah, we know that" look.)
MON: Yeah. In fact, she just did to you what you usually do to almost all the others girls.
JOEY: WHAT?
RACH: Hon, that’s true, y’know. That’s exactly the way YOU treated girls!
JOEY: Not the ones I care ‘bout!
MON: Yeah, but, maybe… they care ‘bout you and you treated them that way, anyway.
JOEY (embarrassed): Yeah, well… maybe… But, could we just come back to my problem, please?
RACH: But that’s exactly what we’re talking ‘bout: y’know, roles are just reversed…
MON: Yeah, instead of YOU who cheated on A girl who cares about you, it’s A girl who cheated on you who care ‘bout her.
JOEY: But… How can she do that to ME! I mean, I’m not like the girls I cheated on!
PHOE: Maybe, for Kelly, you are.
JOEY (really worried): What? You mean… like, it’s a girl who is… like, there are girls who… are not seduce by JOEY’S LOVE?
PHOE: Honey, we’re not saying that… but you COULD BE like these girls you dumped… it’s like…
(She looks at the others for help.)
MON (not really nice): It’s like, at least, for once, you understand what it is to be these girls and you finally know how they can be hurt by you.
JOEY: Ow… Ow! But it’s not… I didn’t
want… ow! I’m sorry…
(He leaves.)
[Monica and Rachel’s Monica and Chandler are there Just after the previous scene.]
CHAN: Are you okay, Mon? You really act as if it was you Joey had dumped…
MON: Yeah, I’m okay. But it’s just that, y’know, he hurts all these girls and it’s exactly like… like…
CHAN (nicely): Like?
MON: Like when I, or even Rachel and Phoebe, have been hurt by others guys.
CHAN (Hugging her): Oh sorry, Mon. I didn’t realize that.
MON (Nearly crying): Y’know, I feel like I’m always with guys like that, except… except Richard maybe. But even he doesn’t want to commit himself!
CHAN: Don’t say that, Mon. There are plenty of guys who are not like Joey. I’m sure you’ll find a guy who deserves you. There are a lot of guys who are ready to get involved with someone as wonderful as you are.
MON (teasing): Like you?
CHAN (laughing): Maybe!!
(Their lips go closer and closer as they quickly pull apart, embarrassed.)
[Central Perk. They’re all there except Joey. Monica has just repeated what she said to Chandler.]
PHOE: Don’t ya think, Ross, that it is unfair to do that to women?
ROSS: Actually, it depends…
RACH: I was sure you would say something like that: how can you say that? (Laughing) Of course, it’s not like all your relationships had work so well. (Hit him on the arm playfully. However, Ross doesn’t seem to find that funny at all.)
CHAN: He managed to stay a long time with Carol.
RACH: Yeah with a lesbian…
MON (Laughing): If I am in trouble or in an embarrassed situation, Chandler, please… don’t help me!
CHAN (Smiling): You’ll see. I bet that, one day, you’ll need me and you’ll regret to have said that.
MON: Yeah, right!
PHOE: Anyway, I think it’s time for Joey to realize that he hurts the girls he dumped.
RACH: It’s time for all the man to realize that!
(The girls laugh as the boys stare at them, annoyed.)
[Rachel and Monica’s Ross and Rachel come back from Central Perk.]
ROSS: Hum, Rach. Can I ask you something?
RACH: Of course, honey. What is it?
ROSS: Do you think we’re great together?
RACH (a bit surprised): Yeah, sure, Ross. Why are you asking me this? You don’t think we should break up, do you?
ROSS: No, not at all… I love you.
RACH (not convincing at all): I love you to, honey.
(They kiss passionately.)
[Chandler and Joey’s Phoebe walks in to see Joey who is all alone.]
PHOE: Hey Joey! Are you better? We didn’t see you all day.
JOEY: I know. I’m a bit worried girls don’t still feel attracted to me now.
PHOE: Joey, don’t worry ‘bout that, I’ll always be attracted to you!
JOEY (with a big smile): Thanks Pheebs… do you wanna go to my room?
PHOE: Joey! Haven’t you understand for once with Kelly?
JOEY: Yeah, you’re right. I’m sorry.
PHOE (smiling): But don’t worry, you’ll experience Phoebe’s love, one day.
JOEY: I feel bad for all the girls I’ve hurt.
PHOE: At least, now, you won’t do that again!
JOEY: Yeah I suppose so.
[Monica and Rachel’s Rachel is reading on the couch with Ross looking at her, sad. Chandler is seated at the table as Monica is preparing the dinner.]
MON: Chandler, could you give me this spoon?
CHAN (teasing): I thought you said that I would never have to help you?
MON (smiling): It depends if you wanna eat or not!
(Chandler grabs the spoon but doesn’t give it to Monica. He acts like he is not sure if he will give it to her or not.)
MON: Chandler!
(Monica, with her hands wet, runs after Chandler around the table. She finally grabs his shirt and he slips. They end up Monica laying down on Chandler pouring water all over him.)
(They laugh and, suddenly, stop to look in each other eyes. Then, Monica breaks in laugh and Chandler begins to laugh too. He helps her to get up and she continues to cook.)
[Ross’ apartment. He has just hang up with Rachel.]
ROSS: Yeah, right. You can’t go out without me, I don’t care (mad) JUST BECAUSE YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN I AM!!
(He is nearly crying).
[Chandler’ bedroom. He’s dreaming.]
(Chandler’s dream:
He’s sleeping with a gorgeous woman. We can see Chandler smiles in his sleep.
Suddenly, the woman changes into Monica. Chandler wakes up in shock.)
CHAN: Oh God! I’ve to see her… so…(freaking out) so, I will see she’s JUST a friend.
(He gets up and leaves his room.)
ENDING CREDIT
[The hallway.]
(Chandler is coming from his apartment as Monica is coming from hers.)
MON (seeing him, she looks embarrassed): Oh no!
CHAN: Don’t tell me that…
BOTH: Oh god, we are in trouble!
(They look at each other and break in laugh.)
(Chandler goes to Monica and takes her head in his hand and kisses her gently.)
