Argument Before a Wedding
They were all sat around the table eating breakfast when Joey came bursting through the door.
"You never guess what has just happened to me!!!!" He shouted.
"What happened Joe??" Chandler said making a little joke of him.
"I just got off the phone with my agent, and she said she's got an audition for me tomorrow, but I can't go!!!!"
"Why not Joe??.............., Oh yeh Chandler and Monica's wedding............., Sorry........................, Maybe I should go" Phoebe left and Chandler and Monica were left with shocked faces.
"Well that went smoothly, I thought" Rachel breaking the almighty silence.
"Anyway, What am I gonna do guys??"
"I say you cancel, I mean its your friends wedding, its not like its your cousins birthday party!!!" says Ross.
"Yeh your right, I'll cancel after breakfast"
"It's time for work I think, oh guys I won't be back till late cause i'm looking after Ben for Carrol whilst she goes up town"
"Yeah, we haven't got lives we'll be waiting for you when you get back"
"Ha ha ha ha, very funny Monica see ya later then" Ross said sarcasticly Ross leaves slamming the door abit behind him.
"So what did the job centre say to you about.. Well getting a job???" Asks Chandler.
"They said that you need experience, in the area of clothing, I mean what do they want, me to have sewn a jumper!!!!"
"Have you??"
"NO"
"Why dont you come to acting class with me if you haven't got anything else to do today??"
"No thanks Joey I think I'll be fine sitting around eating chocolate ice-cream all day"
"Oh yeh we ran out of that stuff.....Erm.......The chocolate monster ate it!!!"
"Joey!!!!, you've ruined my day already!!"
"You were gonna get fat!!"
"Thats a point, alright seen as theres no ice-cream i'll come with you"
"Talking about that, is it 10 to 9 or 9 to 10??"
"Its 10 to 9 Joe" says Monica
"That clocks slow"
"Why is that clock slow!!!, We're gonna be late!!!"
"The clock is slow Joey because Chandler bought it, god knows where from!!!"
"Come on then Rach, we'd better go, else we're gonna be late!!" Joey was now Scared that he might get told off by his teacher!!! It was a high school thing.
"Okay, okay Joe don't rush me else we'll never get there!!"
"I'll carry if I have to!!"
"Hey, Hey!!! Shouldn't that be fun" says Chandler
Joey and Rachel leave for acting class, shuting the door behind them
"See ya!!!" they both shout through the door.
"Good luck!!!" Monica and Chandler shout back.
"So? Have you anything to tell me?" Monica asked
"No I don't think so" Chandler replied
"Come on!, Somethings been wrong for a couple of days now"
"Nothing, you already knew I was scared of comitment!"
"I don't think that's all!" There voices started to become raised
"Look, do you want an argument before are wedding?"
"Well I don't want an argument but I wouldn't mind knowing whats going on!"
"NOTHING IS GOING ON!!!"
Chandler left the table and went and sat down on the sofa and turned up the T.V REALLY LOUD.
"Do you mind!"
"Yes I do mind!, now can you please go away this is my favourite programme"
"Since when did you LOVE ready, steady, cook?"
"Okay, I dont LOVE it but I'd love it if you'd leave me alone"
Monica never liked showing people that she was crying of hurt, so she ran into the bedroom and tears flooded. Chandler hadn't realised what he had said until about ten minutes later. He rose from his chair and headed towards their bedroom door.
"Monica can I come in?"
He tried to open the door but it was locked. He thougt to himself 'Damn lock I knew I shouldn't have put it on the door!' There was no answer from in the room.
"Look Mon, were getting married tomorrow and we wouldn't want to ruin that speicial day with one stupid fight the day before!, look I've been down lately because I tried to get my Father to come to the wedding but he refused, ever since then I've been thinking, did my mother and father ever love me? At least I think my mother did abit because she looked after me, but my father left me, and to make it up to me he could at least come to my wedding!, but he said no, and he wern't gonna budge" There was tears running down Chandlers face as he explained. "So if you can just see what I'm getting at"
Just then the lock on the door was moved and the door slowly opened, Monica placed her arms around him and said "I forgive you, sorry to have a go at you like that"
"Its okay, I wasen't gonna tell you because I thought it was a bit private, but now I've told you I think I feel a bit better"
"Thats good, hey what you say we go down the coffee shop, have coffee and then go to have pizza, my treat"
"Sounds cool"
Chandler was alright now, he wiped his tears away on his shirt sleeve, and went to grab his coat, they both held hands kissed and exited through the door.
