Jammie Pies are cute little dolls that were made by Playskool in the 1980's. From the information I have gathered, they were made for about two years (1986-1988). These adorable little dolls were based on a Hallmark christmas ornament. They stand around 11 inches tall and come in many different designs and colours. All of the Jammie Pies came with a "friend", a little pet toy and a name for both the doll and it's pet (some pets squeak and others rattle).
"A wonderful thing happens when a child's head touches the pillow. A soothing sound, very much like a lullabye, floats outside the child's window. With a gentle flutter of wings, the swan from the Land of Sweet Dreams glides into the child�s room. As she moves, she leaves a glistening trail of magical crystals behind her. Everywhere the crystals fall, the Land of Sweet Dreams appears.
As the swan watches over the sleeping child, a little friend slips off the swan's back...a Jammie Pie! Each Jammie Pie welcomes the child to the Land of Sweet Dreams with a bedtime story. Some tell their story with a song or a dance, and some whisper a magical poem or funny story. Most of all, they want to bring companionship, sweet dreams and peaceful slumber ...to children everywhere."
