| After the saga of Popstars was over, alot of fans thought that was the last we'd see of darius, but he always said he'd be back and he was right. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Darius walks into the Pop Idol auditions in Glasgow accompained by his guitar and a new hair cut.He asks to sing his own song whilst playing his guitar but Simon tell him "no exceptions" and he sings "Future Love Paradise" by Seal. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Then the judges give there comments Pete says "i don't know you, It's an interesting song to pick, I think you gave a great performance." | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Simon on the other hand says "I'd lose your corniness, I still think your corny." but he gets through to the next stage in London. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Now in london, the finalists are put through there paces and 24 are told to go home, but luckly darius stays, and now the remaining 74 are put into groups of 3 and the boys choice of song is "Up on the roof" by The Drifters, While everyone is rehersing Darius is handing out helps and advice to Gareth Gates. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| As day two comes in London the finalists have three choices to pick from the boys choices are: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| But Darius and co. dont know all the choices so make a midnight trip to Tower Records to get the cd's for the songs they dont know. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| After waiting, waiting, waiting and a sing-a-long started by darius the final 50 are annouced and darius is through!!!!!!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Now the heats start and darius is in the very last heat, heat 5.He sings "Something inside so strong" by Labi Siffre. But unfortunetly comes in, in 3rd palce picking up 19.9% and doesnt make it through to the final 10. But we knew that darius would back again and we were right. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| On the first week of the final 10, darius recieved a phone call, from the pop idol production team, asking him to be a stand-by for rik, as rik went down with the flu and sore throat. darius was on a rollercoaster he didnt know if he was on the show or not, but darius took a little convincing. As to start with darius just wanted to close that chapter of his life and wanted to go back to uni and finish his degree but once he saw the % for heat 5, he said he'd do it. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| And darius was back just in time for the christmas show, were he sang "A chid is born" and scopped 19% of the votes coming in, in 3rd palce. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Now it was week 3 and the finalists are off to an OK! photoshoot and once agin darius comes in at 3rd place on saturdays show singing "What the world needs now" and bringing in 18.2% of the votes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This week the finalists are in the studio and darius once again comes in at 3rd place with 18% of the votes after an amazing perfromance of "baby can i hold you." | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This week the finalists head for Hanbury health farm and also get a bit of dance coaching from a top Choregrapher which darius is having trouble with due to his immense height, but they still have time to practise for saturdays show, where darius sings "I have a dream." | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This week he comes in at 4th place with 13.3% of th votes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This week it was all lights, camera's action as the final 5 head for a film premire, at which they recieve the biggest cheers of all. then comes saturdays show again and this week Darius chooses a swinging tune "Let's face the music and Dance" and once again takes 3rd place with 23.7% of the votes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This week all the attention is turned to a press conference, where darius is asked about britney viewing him singing "baby one more time" on Frank Skinner's show. But he doesnt know how to respond to it. |

| This week the finalists have to sing two songs instead of one darius sings "whole again" by atomic kitten and "it's not unsual" by Tom Jones. And darius does a excellent job, even Natasha Kitten thinks so. and the viewers also agreed as he came in third palce again with 24.5% of the votes and comes in at 3rd place. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Now this week it is crunch time, this is the decider of who gets into the final, and im sure everyoneis feeling the presure. Each of the boys recoreded the double A-side of "Evergreen" and "Anything is Possible." the boys also flew to Dublin to support Sclub7 on their tour for one night. Darius this week sings "Dancing in the moonlight" and "Make it easy on yourself" but this week darius wasnt as lucky and although the judges went crazy for him, he didnt get enough votes to get him through to the final. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| But the final still went ahead and it was gareth against will, with will coming out the offical Pop Idol. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Although each and every pop idol finalist has come out good, Will was the overall winner,to me Daius was my pop idol. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
