Darius is over the moon in Hollyoaks role.
Its one small step for wannabe actor but quite a giant leap for Darius.
The Pop Idol star is to appear in Hollyoaks singing his new single Girl In The Moon. The 22-year-old singer plays himself in the hit soap, had a ball between takes with the young, sexy leading ladies. In the storyline, Darius serenades some of the teen soap regulars including Izzy (Elize de tout), Becca (Ali Bastian), Adam (David Brown) and Tony (Nick Pichard) and the Glasgow hunk did such a good job that Hollyoaks could even ask him back for good.
A show insider said he was a natural. He really enjoyed it and alot of the cast followed Pop Idol so it was good for them to see him in the flesh. We would definetly have him back if and when the opportunity arises.
Would we look at him in a starring role, anything is possilbe in soapland, so never say never. In the episode, darius performs his new single at the graduation ball. The episode will be screened on July 4th, repeated as part of the omnibus edition show on July 6th.

The Gossip from the press tent was that Darius was quite possibly the nicest popstar everyone had ever met.
He was first on stage and before he left he went around and thanking everyone - from the comperes tp the crew before jet-setting off.

The Scottish Saucepots Tour Trauma.
 Darius has just finished his sell-out tour - and it seems theres been quite alot of lady-lovin along the way.
"There was alot of love on the tour," grins the big lad, sheepishly. "Everyone was up for it!"
"All the girl were very 'friendly' and very open to keep going until the early hours. As R Kelly says in ignition, after the show its the afterparty, then its back to the hotel lobby, then its back to well, the tourbus in my case!!"
"I met a really nice girl in Dublin. I pulled her out of the crowd at the gig and got her phone number onstage!
Some girls were a bit over enthusiastic though. I got twanged in the eye by a B-cup bra and a black lace thong landed on my guitarists Mochican.
"and i got a big surprise when a girl grabbed my crotch to climb onstage!!! But it could have been worse i could've been wearing my kilt!!!

Also at the film premiere event was Glasgow pop star, Darius, who was getting up close and personal with blonde beauty Jacqui Ainsley.
It seems the movie was an event just 2 good to miss.
