Debonair Darius Steals Molly's Heart
POPSTARS REJECT Darius made this little girl's night when he serenaded during an emotionally-charged concert in his home town.
The 22-year-old heart-throb returned to the Clyde Auditiorium less than a month since his last appearance as the Box Live tour rolled into town.
Five hundred voices filled the air as he ran onstage wearing his trademark kilt - and the smile on his face proves that when it comes to showbusiness there's nothing like a home crowd to make you feel like a superstar.
Charging through songs from his album, Dive In, he paused to give one little girl a night to remember.
Hushing the crowd, Darius plucked the little eight-year-old, called Molly, from the crowd and sang his hit colourblind to her.
Lemonscent and girls aloud had their own fans, but it was the Bearsden boy the scottish crowd wanted to see - and they werent disappointed.
Although the fans made plenty of noise, their signing and dancing couldnt disguise the row upon row of empty seats to the rear of the auditiorium, and the promoters moved people towards the front of the arena to make the televised concert look as busy as possible.

Pop people - A day in the life of Darius
As he flashes his blinding smile, Darius Danesh oozes a surprising amount of confidence for a 22-year-old who's taken more knocks in his short pop career than most. But the boy from Glasgow has taken it all in his stirde. He's had a no.1 single, an album that went platinum and he's currently on a sell-out UK tour.
"Where i am now compared to two years ago is like the flip side of a coin. Its hard work but it's worth it." he says.
And next week he releases his new single from his album Dive In, called Girl In The Moon. "It's the track i dedicate to all the people who have supported me." he says. "It's a ballad with a real summery feel. It's my favourite on the album and im really excited about it."
he's hoping for a smash-hit sucess, like Colourblind, after his countrywide tour and he still cant believe he has so many fans. "I never thought i could have my own UK tour at 22 and i'm still getting ym head arouns the fact that thousands of people bought tickets just to come and see me," he says,
The triumphant tour is testimony to just how hard Darius has worked to shake off his cheesy reputation.
Although he's had the last laugh now, he certainly hasnt forgotten his humilation on Popstars. He's even writing a book that promises to tell you all about his experiences.
"It's called sink or swim and it will be out later this year," he says. "Its about what ive learnt in the past three years and the reality of reality TV shows."
When he isnt carving out what promises to be a long and sucessful career in music, Darius is hanging out with friends or spending time with his brothers, Cryus 8 and Aria, 19. "Aria is a prt-time model and whenever we go out he gets all the female attention. He's very handsome," laughs Darius. "lucky git."
Darius new single Girl in the moon is out on June 9th.
Just a few hours to go beofre he faces hundreds of fans at the Brighton Centre. "I'm really happy now, its all ive ever wanted." says Darius.
