Trying To Say Goodbye

By LeoAngel

I’m holding a letter that I wrote last night

Trying to remember what it says inside

The words are written but never been said

Your voice keeps calling in my head I don’t believe its time

But I try to say goodbye

But I feel so lost inside

I don’t know my name and I can’t erase what’s

weighting on my mind

Its says I believe in a red eye plain

But I'm never coming back again

You’ve heard this story a thousands times

This song keeps playing in your mind

I’m asking myself why

But I try to say goodbye

But I feel so lost inside

I don’t know my name and I can’t erase what’s

weighting on my mind

I try to stay away

Try to write the words and I trying to write the word goodbye

Try to say goodbye

But I feel so lost inside

I don’t know my name and I can’t erase what’s

weighting on my mind

And I try to say goodbye

But I feel so lost inside

And I try to say goodbye

I try and I try

To say goodbye

And I try

To say goodbye try

Phoebe walked through the long white halls. Her feet hit the ground without a sound. Maybe because the ground underneath her was so soft. Cloud like, yes that’s what it felt like. People hurried all around her but Phoebe wasn’t thinking of any of them. She

missed home, her sisters, being alive.

Suddenly Pheebs smacked into something and fell to the ground. Luckily the cloud surface didn’t hurt one bit. In front of Phoebe Julie was on the floor.

“Oh I’m sorry Phoebe.” She replied helping Pheebs up.

“Its ok I wasn’t looking where I was going.” Phoebe muttered.

“Well I would love to chat but I’m late for an assignment I’ll see you later.” Julie quickly excited.

Phoebe watched as the last trace of her disappeared. Sighing to herself she headed to the living quarters of this magical place. It wasn’t long before Pheebs made it to ‘her’ room. Every whitelighter was issued a room most beginners stayed in their whitelighter rooms. Other more experience whitelighters, like Leo lived in the mortal world more than this place.

Phoebe traced her empty room with her eyes. There wasn’t much in the small little dorm like room. Basically just a cloud bed, which was very comfortable and a desk. Pheebs took a picture out of her pocket. It was of Prue, Piper, Leo, and herself. They were having so much fun and the more importantly Phoebe was alive.

Leo walked by Phoebe’s room and stopped when he noticed her staring out into space. He looked over her shoulder and saw the picture of them. He knew instantly what she was thinking.

“So how’s one of my favorite whitelighters?” Leo asked letting

Pheebs know he was here. Phoebe jumped a little not knowing someone was in the room. She quickly put the picture away and faced him.

“So how do you like it up her?” Leo continued knowing the answer.

“Its its………. Nice.” Phoebe paused thinking what to say.

“Nice??? That doesn’t sound very promising.” Leo commented. Phoebe fell back onto the bed and sighed heavily.

“What are you doing here anyway? I thought you would be taking some time of because of the whole darklighter thing. I think it’s to soon for you to go back to work.” Phoebe stated obviously changing the subject. Leo wasn’t going to let her get away with it that easily though.

“Actually I’m not here to work. I do have a few more days off.” Leo informed Pheebs.

“Then what are you doing here? Piper and Prue are ok right?!?!” Phoebe exclaimed jumping off the bed.

“Yes your sisters are fine…….. but…………. I wanted to know how the third Halliwell was doing.”

“Well she’s doing fine.” Phoebe said stubbornly.

“Phoebe I know adjusting to this is kind of hard. Especial at first.” Leo replied. “So are you truly doing fine?”

“No I don’t know what to do. I mean since your back my sisters don’t need another whitelighter. They are going to send me somewhere on another assignment. I

don’t wanna be away from my sisters. I miss them so much and not seeing them every day drives me insane.” Phoebe sighed. “How could I die? There was so much I wanted to do so much I wanted to say. What about the power of three how could they destroy that?” Phoebe exclaimed tears welled up in her eyes. Leo sat down next to her and put an arm around her.

“I don’t know why this happened. I wish it didn’t though.” Leo sighed wiping away some of Phoebe’s tears.

“I want things to go back to the way they we’re before. I just wanna be with my sisters fighting some demon or something.” Phoebe exclaimed missing them so much.

“Maybe I can ask the elders if you could be their whitelighter.” Leo suggested willing to do anything to make her troubles go away.

“Why would they do that my sisters don’t need two whitelighters? Especial now that I’m not even alive?” Phoebe asked.

“They wouldn’t have two.” Leo stated.

“What do you mean? What about you?” Phoebe asked puzzled.

“I could ask to be transfered or something. I could still find time to get to Piper.” Leo explained.

Phoebe fell silent for a few seconds and knew the answer. She couldn’t do that to Leo or Piper.

“No I cant do that. Piper needs you. Plus you have been doing this for a lot longer than me. I wouldn’t know how to help them as easily as you would.” Phoebe

replied.

Leo nodded glad she had said that. He knew the elders probably wouldn’t even have gone for it. It took a while for him to be ready to help the charmed ones even after he had trained.

“What am I going to do? I can live as a whitelighter feeling empty and never seeing my sisters. Or I can clip my wings be mortal and disabled.” Phoebe sighed

frustrated.

“Phoebe I’m not going to tell you what to do. This is a big decision and only you know the right choice. But I will tell you that whiterlighter is hard. Every time I have to orb away from you guys I go crazy. Then it also has its rewards when you save someone you get this feeling. In your heart you know what must be done. Just follow what your heart is telling you. It will lead you the right way.” Phoebe sighed knowing

Leo wouldn’t give her anymore to go on.

“Well I have a meeting with the elders.” Phoebe said standing up.

“Do you want me to come?” Leo asked worried.

“No I have to do this alone.” Phoebe replied. Leo nodded and gave Phoebe a hug.

“I don’t think I would have been able to go anyways,” Leo replied looking at his watch, “They are practically about meetings. Anyways I’m sorry but I have to go. I promised a friend I’d help them do a little research.” Phoebe gave him another hug with that he orbed out.

Phoebe sighed again tossing her head back. Her haired gracefully fell back onto her

shoulders. She headed towards what was known as the meeting hall.

“Boy they where creative when thinking of that name.” Phoebe muttered staring at the large door in front of her.

She whipped away a small tear that had escaped her eye. She knew what she had to do she couldn’t be selfish. Carefully Phoebe knocked at the large intimidating door. After a long pause it finally creaked open. She found it weird that it opened without anyone on the other side. Then again what wasn’t weird about this world. A light shined blinding Phoebe momentarily. When the light lessoned Phoebe found herself in front of four people in chairs.

“Phoebe Halliwell we’ve been expecting you.” One of the whitelighters greeted staring at a paper in front of him.

“We have an assignment for you if you’re choosing to be a whitelighter.” The other one informed her.

Everything fell silent as they waited for her reply. She found herself unable to answer them. Could she really go through with this?

“Well….” The third one urged on.

“Yes I am going to be a whitelighter.” Phoebe replied just above a whisper.

“You do realize you are forbidden to ever see your sisters again.” The only female commented. Her eyes shined concern and doubt that she was ready.

“Ye yes I understand.” Phoebe’s voice cracked.

“And you can’t have contact with Leo.” The third one said sternly.

“Wha why?” Phoebe asked she thought she could at least get updates from Leo. How could they take her away from her sisters and now Leo two?

“He’s already broken enough rules. I suggest staying away if you don’t wanna get him in more trouble.”

Phoebe sighed. Was this the only way for her to go?

“Fine.” She muttered.

“Alright here’s your assignment.” A golden paper was handed to Pheebs.

“Look threw it and make sure you’re out of her by tomorrow morning.”

With that Phoebe found herself back out in front of the huge door. Phoebe looked over the paper it didn’t have too much information on it. Just the location and that she would be helping two witches out.

Phoebe walked back to ‘her’ room. She sat down at the desk and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen.  She sighed looking at the blank sheet of Piper. They said she could never see them again. They deserved to know and not like this, but this is the only way possible Pheebs thought. Phoebe chewed on the pen becoming nervous. This was it she had to say goodbye. After a few minutes she finally took the pen out of her mouth and place it on the paper.

Dear Pipe,

I know this will crush you more than anyone. Sure Prue and Leo will take it hard to, but we all know I’m closest to you. But I have to go now. They are making me leave you guys forever. This is even forbidden but I don’t care. You guys deserve to know what’s happen to me. I wanted to thank you for always believing in me. You where the only one who stuck by me no matter what and I love you for that. Plus I want you to know that you’re the only one that can make things better when they’re down for me. You’re like the sun peeking out on a cloudy day. I need you to know how much you mean to me. I looooooove you so much and always will. Even though I love you, you know as well as anybody that things get in the way. Please don’t come looking for me you will never find me. Don’t go hard on Leo ether honey. He doesn’t know I’m leaving and no he won’t be able to find me ether. I wish I could be

there for you now. Or at least be able to tell you all these things in person. But it’s better this way, this way you have no chance at stopping me. Remember I’ll

always love you no matter what!

                                                                    Love Always,

                                                                        Pheebs

Phoebe traced the outline of a tear that had dripped onto the letter. After reading it over one more time she picked up another sheet of paper. She placed the pen on this sheet and started to write again.

Dear Pruwy,

Oh god Prue this is so hard to say this. But I’ll be strong just like you always are. I know if you where in my position you would do the same thing as I am. I

have to go forever, never to see you guys again. They are forbidden me to talk to my sisters or even Leo. I just want to tell you how much you mean to me. I looove you so much even if I don’t show it sometimes. I know I can say and do stupid things, but I hope you know I don’t mean them. Please don’t blame yourself for me having to go. I know you will think you are responsible but you aren’t. Know that I will always love you and miss you. I wish I could say goodbye in person but I know it would just hurt you guys more. I am sorry for any pain I have or will give you now. Remember Prue everything happens for a reason.

                                                                           Love Always,

                                                                                Pheebs

Phoebe felt herself break down after reading the second letter. How could she leave them forever? She put her head on the desk and cried for a few minutes. She finally got herself under control.

“Ok Pheebs just one more.” She whispered to herself getting another piece of paper. She placed the pen down to the paper and started to write the third letter.

Dear Leo,

I’ve always thought of you as more than just our whitelighter. Maybe because you are so much more. Not just to Piper you know but to me two. You have always been there when we needed you. I am so thankful for that. I’ve always thought of you as an older brother. I’m going to miss that feeling. I have to leave they

are sending me away. They have binded your ability to find another soul at the moment. Don’t try and find me because this is what was meant to happen. Please Leo

don’t blame yourself. You and Prue are alike in many ways. One being that you both think you have to solve every problem in the world. Meaning you think that if something goes bad that it is immediately your fault. Well it isn’t everything happens for a reason. You’ve told us that many times. Please just be there for Piper. She is going to need you. Goodbye forever brother.

                                                                             Love Always,

                                                                                  Pheebs

Phoebe sighed as she folded the last letter. She pulled out some sand from her pocket and sprinkled it onto her sister’s letters.

“Go to them.” She whispered and let go of them.

They glowed blue and sparkled. They twirled around Phoebe as if they where playing tag. Finally they gave up the game and started to dissolve. Phoebe watched as the

last trace of blue disappeared. She then grabbed the third letter and went to Leo’s whitelighter room. She tried to open it but found it was locked.

“Great now what?” She muttered.

After thinking for a few minutes it finally hit her. “Duuuuuuuuh you’re a

whitelighter dummy now orb.” She closed her eyes and felt herself dissolving. In a few seconds she appeared in Leo’s room.

It looked almost identical to hers. They’re where a few pictures around the room of him and Piper. And one of them all. She sighed and placed the letter on the desk next to the picture of all of them. She looked one more time around the room and

orbed out forever.

Phoebe appeared on a street what looked like to be the middle of nowhere. She looked down to her assignment paper to make sure this was the right place.

“I bet they don’t even have a mall.” Phoebe sighed, “Not that I would have money to buy something.” Phoebe walked until she reached the house that the witches

where suppose to live in. “How am I suppose to get near them if I don’t know anything about them?” Phoebe exclaimed to the air.

Suddenly the paper she had received started to glow. Writing appeared, “Acting,

Writing, collage?” Phoebe questioned reading the three words that had appeared. “What the hell does that mean?” Getting no reply Phoebe sighed. “This is going

to be harder than I thought.” Phoebe muttered, “Guess I’ll start at the collage here. Do they even have one?” With that Phoebe orbed out.

A few seconds later she appeared in front of a large building. She knew this had to be the place. Phoebe felt tears well up in her eyes when she thought about her own collage. She never even got to finish. After a few seconds Pheebs whipped them away deciding she wouldn’t feel sorry for herself anymore.

Phoebe walked into the building and went up to a lady at the front desk.

“May I help you?” The lady asked not even looking up.

Phoebe took out some blue dust and blew it in her face.

“I want to enroll her no questions asked. Do you have any acting and writing courses?” The lady nodded as she stared off into space.

“Ok I want to enroll in them then.” Phoebe replied.

She was handed a paper and ten minutes later she was now apart of this collage.

“I have class in a half hour.” Phoebe commented.

After rooming around exploring the collage Phoebe got to class a bit early. She entered the big room and found a few girls circled around each other chattering.

“How am I going to find her if I don’t even have a name?” Phoebe muttered.

The assignment paper glowed again. Phoebe smiled she loved when it did that. “Andrea, and Amanda.” Pheebs read what had appeared. At lest I have names now Phoebe thought. She decided to just sit down and maybe the teacher would somehow call one of their names.

“Hey may I sit here?” Phoebe asked a girl who was reading in the back row.

“Sure no problem.” She replied putting down her book.

“My names Andrea.” Phoebe almost choked hearing the name. What good luck.

“I’m Phoebe.” Pheebs replied smiling. Andrea brushed her brownish blonde hair back into a ponytail and smiled.

“So are you new here?”

“Yes I just enrolled.” Phoebe answered.

“Do you wanna be a writer?” Andrea questioned.

“Yeah of course writing and acting are my life!” Phoebe exclaimed. Although it wasn’t really true but Pheebs knew this was the way to go.

“Really me two well at least for writing. Although my sister loves to act.” Andrea exclaimed. She was getting really excited Phoebe sounded like the perfect friend for her.

Andrea and her sister had just moved to this small town after their parents had been

killed. She hadn’t made many friends her most of the girls where snobby.

“Your sister doesn’t happen to be Amanda?” Phoebe asked hoping it was.

“Yeah how’d yeah know?”

“Oh I saw someone in the hall that looks like you but they called her Amanda.” Phoebe lied.

“Oh yeah we’re twins we look a lot alike.” Andrea commented. “She’s cool but as always little sisters can be annoying.”

“Little sister?” Phoebe questioned.

“By a minute.” Andrea laughed. “So do you have any sisters or brothers?” Phoebe was shocked by the question. She didn’t know how to answer it. After a few minutes of silence Phoebe knew she had to finally admit this to herself.

“No I don’t have any family.” She replied.

“No parents?” Andrea questioned a sad expression on her face.

“No my mom died when I was really young and well my father left.” Phoebe answered not knowing why she was telling this girl everything about her life.

“Oh I’m so sorry. I kind of know how you feel. My parents died a few months ago in a car crash. There where to many memories back there so we moved her. My

sister and I.” Andrea sighed.

“I’m so sorry.” Phoebe replied she knew how this girl felt.

“Its alright. Anyways do you wanna maybe come over after class?” Andrea asked hopeful.

“Yeah that would be fun. I don’t start my acting class tell tomorrow so that will work out.” Phoebe smiled glad she would get to know her.

“Great.” The teacher came in and they started class.

Back at San Francisco a very tired Piper walked into the manor. She had been working almost round the clock at P3. She sighed falling back onto the couch. After a few minutes Piper started to drifted off to sleep. Blue orbs appeared and Leo formed in front of her. He smiled looking down at his sleeping love. Leo carefully picked her making sure not to wake her. She had been working hard at P3 and Leo didn’t want to

disturb her. He orbed to her room and put Piper down onto the bed. Leo noticed and envelope on one of her pillows. He picked it up and noticed blue and gold dust marks on it.

“That’s whitelighter powder.” Leo commented examine the letter.

He put it down on Piper’s desk holding his curiosity in. When Piper awoke he would find out who it was from. He laid down next to Piper and wrapped his arms around her. She sighed deeply as she snuggled closer to him.

An hour went by tell Piper finally awaken. Leo had stayed awake the whole time just holding her.

“Hmmm Leo you should have woke me up.” Piper commented as they kissed.

“Ahh but you look so cute when you’re sleeping.” Leo replied.

“I missed you.” Piper sighed wrapping her arms around him.

“Sorry that research took longer than I thought.” Leo commented.

“Its ok I had to work at P3 most of the time you we’re away.” Piper informed him. “Speaking of P3 I have to get back.”

“Already honey you’re going to make yourself sick.” Leo sighed disapproval whenever Piper didn’t take care of herself things went bad.

“Leo I feel fine. Now yes I have to go.” Piper said sternly.

She unwrapped his arms from her and got up. She noticed the envelope on the desk and picked it up.

“What’s this?” Piper asked turning towards Leo.

“I don’t know I was wondering myself.” Leo shrugged. Suddenly he heard the elders call.

“I have to go I’ll be back soon take it easy.” Leo got up and kissed Piper. Then he orbed out.

Piper opened the envelope to find a letter inside. It was written in blue glowing ink. She read it over not believing what she was seeing.

Leo orbed into his whitelighter room. He had to get some papers for the elders. He searched around forgetting where he had placed them. Suddenly Leo noticed and envelope like Piper had on his desk. It was next to the only picture he had of him and all the sisters. He carefully ripped it open finding a letter inside. Leo looked over the letter not believing his eyes. He felt a tear trickle down his cheek as he read the last line over and over. “Goodbye forever brother.” He had always thought of Phoebe as a little sister but he never knew she felt the same way. “Oh Phoebe.” Leo whispered. Suddenly he started to get angry with the elders, with himself.

“Errrr how could they do this!?!?!!?! How could I have not noticed she was gone!?!?!?” Leo yelled. He immediately orbed to the elders.

Piper fell to her knees tears spilling out.

“How could this be happening? How could she lose her sister again? It wasn’t fair. God why do the elders cause so much pain.” Piper cried.

She brought her knees up to her chest and hugged them. She didn’t want to lose Phoebe.

Prue walked into the manor finding no one downstairs. She had been working really hard at the magazine. She sighed deciding to take a shower. Prue walked upstairs

passing Phoebe’s room then Piper’s. She stopped seeing Piper on the floor crying. Quickly she knelt by her pulling her close.

“Oh Piper honey what’s wrong. Is Leo ok?” Prue asked gently rocking her back and fourth. Piper couldn’t control her sobs instead she handed Prue the note. Prue read the note and suddenly felt tears well up in her eyes.

“Oh god.” She muttered holding on to Piper tightly.

“She’s gone.” Piper muttered.

“No honey we will find her.” Prue replied trying to convince herself. She was figuring if a whitelighter didn’t want to be found then they wouldn’t. After a while Piper finally got herself calm.

“Lets go look in the book of shadows.” Prue suggested helping Piper up to the attic.

Phoebe and Andrea had finally got out of class. Phoebe had found the lecture incredible boring. She forced herself to stay awake though because Andrea seemed to enjoy it intensely.

“This is my car.” Andrea said pointing to the forest green neon.

“Nice car.” Phoebe commented getting in the passenger’s side.

Andrea drove them to the house Phoebe had stood in front of before. They both got out and walked in. Phoebe was shocked to see things floating all around the living room. Suddenly they all fell down as Amanda saw Andrea had company. “Amanda!” Andrea yelled. Panicking she raised her hands freezing the room.

“Oppssiiess I was just trying to strengthen up my powers.” Amanda apologized embarrassed a little. Andrea sighed and pointed to Pheebs.

“Well let’s hope your other power works.” Andrea replied. Amanda walked over to Pheebs and put her hand over her forehead. After a few minutes it glowed a

soft gold.

“There done.” Amanda smiled proud of herself.

“Ok.” Andrea unfroze Phoebe and pretending to be in the middle of a conversation. “Well this is my sister Amanda.”

“Uh oh hi.” Phoebe said confused she felt like she was missing something.

“Nice to meet you.” Amanda extended her hand. Phoebe took it and smiled back.

“Likewise.” Phoebe noticed that Andrea and Amanda looked almost exactly the same. If it wasn’t for their eyes she didn’t think she would be able to tell them apart.

“Well it was really nice meeting you but I have to steady.” Amanda said as she ran upstairs.

“Bye.” Phoebe replied.

The rest of the day Phoebe and Andrea talked about nothing and everything. Phoebe

hadn’t had that much fun in a while.

“Wow it’s late.” Andrea commented looking at the clock. It read 11:00 pm. “And I haven’t even had dinner yet.” Andrea laughed.

“Your right.” Pheebs giggled. “I should probably get going busy day tomorrow.”

“Yeah ok.” Andrea and Phoebe walked to the door. “Bye Pheebs see yeah later.” Andrea yelled as Phoebe left.

As soon as she was gone Andrea ran upstairs. She ran into her sister’s room finding objects flying around the room again.

“Ugh Amanda Phoebe is probably going to be coming over a lot so don’t do that.” Andrea sighed. She hated how careless Amanda was with her magic.

“Ugh meanie.” Amanda replied she hated how Andrea always thought she was careless.

“I’m going to bed good night love you even if you are a pain in the butt.” Andrea said giving Amanda a hug.

“Yeah yeah love you to.” Amanda replied tickling Andrea.

“Hey…….. stop that…….” Andrea laughed falling back on the bed. She started tickling back. After a few minutes both girls where tired out and stopped tickling each other.

“Alright now I really do have to go to bed.” Andrea commented getting up.

“Nighty night sweet dreams.” Amanda replied blowing a kiss towards Andrea.

“See yeah tomorrow.”

Phoebe looked around her whitelighter room. She placed the assignment paper on her desk and sighed.

“I guess I should go to my dorm room.” Phoebe muttered. She had got one from the lady when signing up for collage. With that Pheebs orbed out to her new room.

Leo had finally returned from his meeting with the elders. It hadn’t gone very well. They basically yelled at him for yelling at them. And their whole speech about breaking the rules and clipping wings again. He had only left because he knew if he stayed

longer they would clip his wings…… or something worse. That wasn’t going to help him find Phoebe any better. Leo orbed into Piper’s room frustrated that he didn’t know where Pheebs was. He saw the opened letter on the ground and guess Piper knew.

“Piper!” Leo exclaimed walking out of her room.

“Up here Leo!” Prue yelled back. He guessed they were looking threw the book of shadows. Which was a complete waste of time. There wasn’t a spell to bring

a whitelighter to you. Leo walked into the attic to see Piper staring out into space while Prue was over the book. When Piper saw Leo she quickly jumped into his arms. Burying her head in his chest she muttered she’s gone.

“Phoebe left.” Prue informed Leo.

“Yes I know.” Leo replied grimly, “I just had a long chat well yell with the elders.”

“Are they going to bring her back to us?” Piper asked lifting her head from his chest. He smiled weakly whipping away her tears.

“I’ll do everything I can.” He whispered pulling her close to him.

“Piper you should get some rest. She had any sleep in a while Leo.” Prue said looking up from the book.

“Honey lets go to bed. There’s nothing we can do tonight,” Leo said pulling Piper with him towards the door. “Prue you should go to bed to. There isn’t a spell in there.” Leo informed her.

“I have to try.” Prue replied.

“I know but try in the morning.” Leo said urging Prue away from the book.

“Fine yeah your right.” Prue closed the book and followed them downstairs.

Leo led Piper into their room while Prue went into her own. She looked over all

the pictures she had of her sisters. Suddenly Prue noticed an envelope on her desk. She picked it up and noticed it was the same as Piper’s. Prue sighed afraid to open it. After a few minutes Prue opened the letter. She fell to the floor after reading it.

“Oh god Phoebe no you don’t do stupid things. God this is all my fault.” Prue cried burying her head in her legs.

The next morning Leo woke up early not being able to sleep well. He felt responsible for Phoebe’s disappearance. After all he was the last one of them she talked to before she left. What had he said that made her think this was the right thing to do. Maybe

he wasn’t fit to be the charmed ones whitelighter. Leo sighed pulling Piper closer to him. She sighed softly and buried herself deeper into Leo’s warm embrace. He

softly tangled his fingers threw her long slickly hair.

Suddenly Leo hear loud smashes upstairs in the attic. He knew it was Prue she had gotten up early to look for a spell. He assumed she didn’t find one like he said and was frustrated. The noises got louder and he knew they would make Piper up soon. She needed as much rest as she could get. Leo carefully unwrapped her arms from him and got out of bed. He walked up the creaky stairs to find Prue and a room full of objects

flying. A chaired came straight at Leo he quickly orbed out of the way. Leo appeared behind Prue and quickly grabbed her. He covered her eyes and everything fell to the ground.

“LET GO OF ME!” Prue screamed struggling against Leo’s strong grip.

“Shhhhh Prue come on its me.” Leo said turning her around. He pulled his hands  away from her eyes to let her see. Suddenly she broke down into tears falling to the ground. Leo gentled pick her up and she buried her head into his chest as Piper had. He slowly walked down the attic stairs and into Prue’s room. Leo laid Prue down onto the bed but she didn’t let go. He sat on the bed with her tell she finally cried herself to sleep. It didn’t take long since she had been up all night crying.

“Goodnight Prue.” Leo said pulling the covers around her.

“God we’re a mess without her.” Piper whispered from the doorway. Leo turned around barely hearing her.

“We’ll get her back.” Leo replied taking Piper in his arms. “I’m going to go look for some clues. If its alright with you if I leave.” Piper held on tightly and nodded. “Go back to bed hone Leo whispered gently pushing her into her own room.

“I love you.” Piper said kissing Leo softly.

“I love you two.” Leo caressed her cheek and smiled.

“I’ll make things better.” With that he orbed out.

Piper stared at the spot Leo had been suddenly becoming frighten. The elders obviously didn’t want them near Phoebe what if they hurt Leo for looking for

her. Piper quickly banished the thought and walked into Phoebe’s room. She laid down on her bed and tightly gripped onto the pillow.

Leo orbed into Phoebe’s whitelighter room. There had to be something there that would tell him where she was. He searched around the room for a few mintues not

finding a dam thing. Suddenly Leo noticed a piece of paper on her desk. He picked it up and recognized it as an assignment sheet.

“If she is still on this assignment then she has to be here.” Leo muttered to himself not wanting to get to excited. Leo’s first instincts told him to go tell Piper what he had found out. Then he realized if it turned out Pheebs wasn’t there she would be crushed.

Leo knew he had to go look for her alone.

Phoebe walked slowly down the hall. Her acting class was in the morning to her dismay. She yawned pushing her hair behind her ear. Amanda saw Pheebs walking

towards her with her head down. She could see that Phoebe hadn’t seen her yet.

Phoebe felt strong but gentle hands grab her. She was ushed into an empty classroom. Amada saw this and ran to help her. But it was to late the door was closed and locks. She tried to open it with telekinesis but it was sealed with magic.

Pheebs punched at the person who grabbed her, making his gripped slipped. Phoebe spun around to find Leo on the floor.

“Owwww.” He replied as Phoebe helped him up.

“Oh Leo sorry. What are you doing here?” Phoebe exclaimed letting down her guard.

“What do you think looking for you?” Leo replied.

“How did you find me?” Phoebe questioned not believing he did.

“I’ve been a whitelighter for over 50 years. You’ve been one for what 5 days. I think I could find a new be whitelighter.” Leo replied.

“That may be believable if the elders hadn’t strip you of that power. But I guess having my assignment sheet helps.” Phoebe said looking towards the gold writing. She cursed herself for leaving it their how could she have been so stupid.

“Yeah that helped to.” Leo commented running his fingers threw his hair. “Phoebe what on earth are you thinking. Your sisters are falling apart without you.”

Leo stated.

“Leo this is my job I’m just falling your advice.”

“My advice whoa don’t tell Piper that.” Leo exclaimed, “And I know I didn’t tell you to runaway from us.”

“I’m just following my heart.”

“I know your heart isn’t telling you this. Phoebe we miss you, we need you.”

“You know as well as anybody that we can’t always be where we want to. If I quite being a whitelighter than I’ll be mortal. And I won’t be able to help people.

Innocents could die because of me.” Phoebe exclaimed. “You shouldn’t even be here if the elders find out………”

“I know what will happen, but I promised Piper to bring you home. Are you going to break that promise? Phoebe they aren’t ready to lose you.”  Leo stressed.

“This is the way it has to be Leo. I love you all you guys.” She pulled out some blue dust and blew it in Leo’s face. “You will go back to Piper and forget about ever finding me. You have search long and hard but you haven’t found me. You never will. Now orb back to Piper she needs you.” With that Leo orbed out.

Amanda outside the door had heard most of the conversation. She didn’t know what Phoebe was but she wasn’t normal. She was probably here to steal their powers Amanda thought. She quickly went into the acting classroom before Phoebe could see her.

Phoebe walked into acting class. She sighed wishing she could go back with Leo. But this is how things had to be. Phoebe spotted Amanda with her noise in a book

over in the corner. Geessh that’s how I meat Andrea Phoebe thought. She walked over to Amanda and sat next to her. She tensed up a bit as Phoebe came near.

“Hey there remember me?” Pheebs asked.

“Yeah.” Amanda put her book down. The rest of the class the girls didn’t talk to each other. Phoebe felt some tension between them. She wondered what she did.

Amanda ran out of class before Phoebe could say a thing.

“What’s up with her?” Phoebe muttered. She looked at her watched she had a half hour before she was suppose to meet Andrea.

Amanda went into a small classroom and blinked home. Andrea jumped a while as her sister appeared.

“Amanda don’t do that!” She exclaimed.

“Andrea Phoebe she she Phoebe she’s umm” Amanda replied not being able to get it out. Andrea rolled her eyes.

“Calm down she’s what?”

“She’s supernatural” Amanda burst out.

“What? When? How do you know?” Andrea questioned spectacle. Phoebe was really nice and didn’t seem the supernatural stuff.

“Trust me I know.” Amanda replied.

“Oh man and she was really nice.” Andrea complained.

“Lets go look threw the book for something.” Amanda said pushing Andrea upstairs.

***********************************

“Did you find her?” Piper asked as Leo orbed in. He stared at her confused forgetting what he was suppose to be looking for. “Hello Leo did you find Phoebe?”

Piper asked again seeing his confused expression.

“Oh no ummm I didn’t.” Leo replied he felt like he was forgetting something. Piper sighed she had really hoped Leo would have come up with something. Leo

pulled her into his arms seeing her distress.

“Don’t worry I’m not done yet.” He whispered.

Phoebe knocked on Andrea’s door. She waited 15 minutes and no one came. Pheebs pushed the door opened finding no one downstairs.

“Anyone home?” She called out walking in.

After looking around downstairs she went upstairs. Again she found nothing. Pheebs sighed she was about to head downstairs when she saw another door. “Must lead to

the attic.” Phoebe muttered walking up the creaky stairs.

Andrea was ready when Phoebe entered the attic. She quickly threw up her hands and froze Phoebe.

“Ok how exactly do we vanquish her if we don’t know what she is?” Andrea questioned.

“There’s a restraining spell in her lets use that.”

“ bind your arms, not to be moved

I tie your hands, your strength proved

I restrain you here and now

I restrain you here with my power”

Both girls chanted the spell. Phoebe glowed a soft gold.

“Did it work?” Amanda asked.

“Only one way to find out.” Andrea replied releases Phoebe.

“Hey.” Phoebe said trying to take a step forward she found that she couldn’t walk. Heck she couldn’t move a muscle.

“What are you?!?!” Amanda demanded.

“Huh?” Phoebe stated confused.

“We know you’re not human.” Andrea stated.

“Yeah I saw you with that guy.” Amanda replied.

“Its not what you think….” Phoebe started out.

“Oh so your not magically and here for us.” Amanda blurted out.

“Ok so it’s a little like you think. I’m a whitelighter.” Phoebe explained.

“Whitelighter?” Both girls said in unison.

“Ummm a guide to witches. I’m here to guide you guys not harm you.” Phoebe said now realizing what Leo had gone threw. This whitelightering wasn’t easy. Amanda

eyed her not believing her.

“Who was the guy?”

“Co working. I don’t even have any powers that would hurt you. Basically all I can do is orb and heal someone.” Amanda pulled Andrea to the side.

“Do we believe her?” Amanda whispered.

“I do. If something goes wrong we have our powers. Lets release her.” Andrea replied. Amanda sighed as Andrea searched for the reversal spell.

“ unbind your arms, so you can move

I untie your hands, your strength proved

I release you here and now

I release you here with my power”

Phoebe again glowed gold and was able to move.

“Lets go downstairs and talk.” Andrea said.

All three girls went down stairs and sat on the couch.

“So tell me about you it will help me do my job.” Phoebe stated.

“Well you already know about most of our outside magic activities. As for magic I have the power of electricity, to read minds, and to freeze time.” Andrea informed Pheebs.

“I have telekinesis, can blink, erase and give back memories.” Amanda replied.

“So what do you do?” Andrea questioned. Phoebe was about to answer when suddenly a figure orbed in.

“GIVE ME YOUR POWERS!!” He exclaimed throwing fireballs at them. Andrea quickly froze the fire but to her surprise he didn’t freeze.

“Ahhh what do we do?!?!” Amanda asked looking at her stumped older sister.

“I’LL BE BACK!!!” The warlock/demon sneered. He then disappeared again waiting for the right time to strike.

“Ok what demon was that?” Andrea asked looking towards Phoebe.

“I dunno do you have a book that tells about demons and stuff?” Phoebe asked.

“We have this it has some little spells and information on some demons.” Amanda said giving her the small black book.

“Dam.” Phoebe muttered starting to appreciate the book of shadows even more.

Back at the manor Piper was pacing around the manor like crazy. Long ago Leo had fallen asleep being incredible tried from his search. Piper went into her room and sat next to him on the bed. She softly touched his cheek a smiled. She knew he would get

Phoebe back somehow she just knew. Piper got up to go check on Prue. Prue was very upset about this whole thing. Piper knew she felt responsible. Prue was sleeping soundly on her bed. She was glad that some people where at least getting some rest. Piper ran her fingers threw Prue’s hair and looked at her pale skin. It pained her to see Prue so sickly looking.

“Leo’s going to find her I know he is.” Piper whispered holding onto her sister.

Leo tossed and turned in Piper’s bed. He felt the sensation that he was forgetting something. Not only that he got that weird feeling when something bad is about to happen. He sat up not being able to hold on to the sleeping world. Suddenly he felt himself dissolving into little orbs.

“What the…..” before he could finish he was gone.

After finding nothing in their little book Phoebe sighed. Now she really wished she had the book of shadows.

“Ok well I’m going to go ask the elders and see if they have any info for me.” Phoebe stated getting up.

“Elders?” Amanda questioned.

“My bosses don’t worry bout it I’ll be back soon.”

With that Phoebe orbed out. Amanda and Andrea looked on in amazement. Sure Amanda could blink but the blue orbs she turned into where fascinating.

Piper walked back into her own room after looking after Prue. She found the room empty. Piper began to panic Leo wouldn’t have left without telling her.

“Leo!” She yelled but got no reply.

Phoebe stood in front of the council.

“I need some more information on my assignments.” Phoebe stated.

“We have no information for you. Whatever happens is suppose to.” One of them informed her.

“What?!?! You don’t understand.” Phoebe yelled frustrated. They continued to argue.

Meanwhile Andrea and Amanda sat down on the couch talking.

“I still can’t believe Phoebe is a………..?” Andrea stated forgetting what she was.

“A Whitelighter.” Amanda finished.

“Yeah whatever that is.”

“Well well looks like you guys don’t have any more protection now that that stupid whitelighter is gone.” The demon appeared again. Andrea and Amanda jumped up in surprise.

“Andrea what what do we do?” Amanda asked as they slowly walked backwards.

“I don’t know I don’t know try telekinesis.” Andrea replied. Amanda tried to throw him but nothing happened.

“Ha only a whitelighter can destroy me.” The demon laughed. A fireball appeared in his hand. “Your powers will be mine.” He sneered throwing it at Andrea. She quickly threw her hands up freezing it.

“Amanda get out of here.” Andrea whispered.

“No I’m not leaving you.” Amanda stated firmly back.

Andrea sighed at her sister’s stubbornness. Why didn’t she ever listen to her? Another fireball appeared in the demons hands. He smiled throwing it at Amanda. Andrea quickly threw her hands up to that ball. As it was just about to hit Amanda it froze. The first one unfroze and plunged right into Andrea.

“Andrea!” Amanda yelled as her sister fell to the ground. The fire unfroze and she threw it away from her with telekinesis.

“Ha your next!” The demon exclaimed as another ball appeared. Suddenly blue and white orbs formed. Phoebe appeared shocked to see what was happening.

“Errr not you.” The demon roared.

Phoebe pulled out some blue dust and blew it towards the demon. It circled round

and round surrounding him. In a blast of blinding light her was gone. Amanda fell to her knees next to Andrea tears formed in her eyes when she searched for a pulse. There was non she wasn’t breathing ether.

“Don’t leave me. God Andrea I love you! You can’t leave me.” Amanda cried embracing her.

Phoebe knelt down besides them and placed her hands on Andrea. They glowed slightly after a few minutes nothing happen. Tears spelt down her cheeks as she realized she couldn’t help her friend. What’s worse is she wasn’t there to protect them.

Amanda cried uncontrollable. Phoebe tried to comfort her but didn’t get anywhere.

“How could I have let her die like that? Why did she let go off the fire that would hit her? Why hadn’t I used telekinesis? Oh this is all my fault.” Amanda kept muttering to herself. Phoebe couldn’t stand it she had to do something anything.”

“Amanda I’m going to go see if I can do anything will you be ok?” Phoebe asked gently rubbing her back. She sniffed and whipped away some tears.

“Yeah I’ll be alright.” She replied nodding.

Phoebe gave her a little hug and orbed out. She reappeared in front of the elders who knew she would be back.

“Phoebe.” One of them stated. This whitelighter was getting annoying.

“You have to let me do something. Please it wasn’t Andrea’s time. I know it wasn’t and so do you. Please you can’t do this to Amanda.” Phoebe pleaded with the elders.

“What’s happened has happened there’s nothing you can do.” One of them stated harshly.

“This isn’t fair your suppose to protect the innocent. She’s gotten rid of plenty of demons for you. And if she were alive she would get rid of even more. You

can’t do this and I won’t leave tell you do something.” The room fell silent. One of the elders sighed.

“There’s only one way to bring her back. This is Amanda’s decision if she does it then Andrea will return to her body.” The elders told Phoebe what Amanda could do.

Phoebe orbed back to find the living room empty. Suddenly Phoebe became panicked what if Amanda decided to do something stupid. She ran upstairs into Amanda’s

room nothing. Phoebe then rushed into Andrea’s room. She was curled up in a ball on her bed hugging a stuff animal. Phoebe almost cried at the sight.

“How could I have let this happen?” Phoebe muttered,

“Amanda are you asleep?” Pheebs questioned softly.

“Hmmm go away I don’t wanna go to school.” She muttered.

“Amanda.” Phoebe said a little louder.

“What!?!” Amanda exclaimed jumping out of bed. She monetarily looked at Phoebe in confusion. As the past day events cleared threw her head she fell back onto the bed.

“The elde….. My bosses said that there is a way to bring her back.” Phoebe stated waiting for a reaction. Amanda jumped up again to face Phoebe.

“How? What?” She questioned.

“Ok this is going to be hard for you but they say it’s the only way.” Phoebe commented. She sat down and Amanda did the same.

“Tell me.” Amanda pleaded.

“They said you can save her if you give up your powers. I know this is a huge decision but its yours to make.” Phoebe explained. Amanda thought for a minute.

“I’ll do it!” She replied.

“That quickly don’t you need to think about it?” Phoebe questioned. “This is huge you would be giving up half of who you are.”

“Doesn’t matter Phoebe. I love Andrea and I would gladly give up my life for her. My powers are important to me but not as important as Andrea is. She she’s my family the the only person I have. Without her a part of me is dead. I know you would understand if you had any siblings.” Amanda said tears fell down her cheeks.

“I do understand.” Phoebe replied thinking about her own sisters. I would do anything for them Pheebs thought. “Take my hand and I’ll orb you to them.”

Amanda obeyed taking Phoebe’s hand in hers. They turned into beautiful orbs and disappeared.

Amanda and Phoebe reappeared in front of the elders.

“She’s made her decision.” Phoebe stated.

Amanda felt intimidated by these powerful people. They looked like they made all the decisions on what happened to whom.

“Well.” One of them said at the silence. Phoebe elbowed Amanda a little.

“I want to give up my powers. I want Andrea back.” Amanda replied.

“Are you sure?” An elder asked.

“Positive.”

“Then it is done.” He snapped his fingers and white orbs come out of Amanda. She then disappeared.

Phoebe orbed out after her to see if it worked. Amanda woke up in Andrea’s room on her bed. She held her throbbing head orbing or whatever really did a number on you she thought. After getting herself together she remembered what happen.

“Andrea.” She whispered running downstairs.

Andrea was still on the floor. Amanda knelt down just as her eyes fluttered open. Tears of joy trickled down Amanda’s cheek.

“What happened?” Andrea asked groggily. Amanda tackled her in a hug.

“Oh god I loooove you.” She exclaimed tightly holding on to her.

“Air please.” Andrea replied laughing. “Love you two.”

Phoebe orbed in watching the scene. She smiled Amanda may not be a witch any more but they are together. Phoebe now knew where she belonged. After a long time

of hugging finally both girls let go of each other.

“Thank you Phoebe for helping me get Andrea back.” Amanda said helping Andrea up.

“Any time.” Phoebe replied.

“Thank you Phoebe.” Andrea repeated glad to be home, glad to be alive.

“I wanted to say thank you to you two.” Phoebe commented.

“For what?” Both girls asked in unison.

“I finally realize where I belong. I lied to you I do have two sisters and a soon to be brother in law. But I had to leave them because of the whitelighter thing. I finally realize that it doesn’t matter if I have powers. The only thing that matters is I’m with them. And if you hadn’t showed me that I don’t know what would happen to me.” Phoebe explained. Andrea and Amanda both smiled.

“You would have figure it out on your own.” Amanda stated.

“So I guess this is goodbye.” Andrea commented tears stinging her eyes.

“Not forever. I know are paves will cross again. Remember I know where you live.” Phoebe replied hugging Andrea.

“I’m not sure if that’s a good thing.” Amanda joked.

“I’m going to miss you guys.” Phoebe cried having gotten attached.

“Don’t worry like u said we will meet again.” Amanda hugged Pheebs.

“Bye.” Andrea said whipping away a tear.

“Goodbye for now.” With that Phoebe orbed out. Going back to where she truly belonged.
