Fifth seeded Justine Henin beat Conchita Martinez with 6-0, 6-3 to set up a quarterfinal against Kim Clijsters (WTA-5). Clijsters defeated Silvia Farina Elia in three sets. Clijsters leads the head-to-head with 2-1.

Justine and Meghann keep winning in doubles. This time they defeated Russians Lina Krasnoroutskaya and Elena Dementieva in three sets: 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. In the semi final they play against Martina Hingis and Anna Kournikova.
