Trina (born Katrina Leverne Taylor on December 3, 1978 in Miami, Florida) is a Southern Rap artist.

Before pursuing a music career Trina was a real estate agent. Trina then meet Trick Daddy, who was the one to get Trina started on her music. In 1998 Trina was featured on Trick Daddy's single "Nann Nigga" which helped her get noticeable in the rap industry. In March of 2000 Trina released her debut album Da Baddest Bitch. The album featured two successful singles "Da Baddest Bitch" and "Pull Over." The album was certified Gold and has now sold over 700,000 copies in the United States. For the next year she toured and was featured in other artists singles such as Missy Elliott's "One Minute Man (Remix)." Trina released her second album Diamond Princess in August of 2002. The album produced two small hits "No Panties" featuring Tweet and "B R Right" featuring Ludacris. The album has not been certified to date and has only sold 489,000 copies in the United States. Over the next few years Trina took a break from her own music but was featured on hits such as Chingy's "Right Thurr (Remix)", Webbie's "Bad Bitch (Remix)" and most recent Ebony Eyez's "In Ya Face (Remix)." In the fall of 2005 Trina launched her own fragrance line of perfume called "Diamond Princess by Trina". In October of 2005 Trina released her highly anticipated third album Glamorest Life.
