Cathexis = (kath-EX-is) a burst of mental energy arising from a particular idea or object

Welcome to a little corner of my world. Sometimes it is a tad bizarre; however, bizarre beats monotony any day of the week! What is this site about? Well, a bit of this blended well with a bit of that. A touch of humor --- okay, maybe more than a touch, thrown into a pot of art (yep, painting, drawing, whatever), genealogy (family history), southern history, political discussion (whatever happened to adhering to the principles laid down in our Constitution?); what's good to read (science fiction, fantasy, politics, history, genealogy); what's good to listen to; religion (to judge or not to judge.... ) and a hodgepodge of philosophical questions that cross all the boundaries (why do radical feminists think that a political system dominated by men will give up any power?). This page is not in any way meant to insult or degrade anyone. Quite the contrary.... each and every person has value which should be explored and celebrated. Part of that value rests in the imagination, the ability to conceive of new ideas. I do hope that you find something here that sparks your imagination, bringing about your own CATHEXIS!

Ya'll Come Back Now...

This is just a start, humble as it may be. Drop in for a visit, now and then to see what is new in my little corner o' the world!

Drop me a line, if you're so inclined...
