| On August 24th I went into premature labor and had to go to the hospital. After they monitored me for 2 hours they gave me a shot of terbutilene to stop the contractions. Since it was a Saturday I couldn't get in to see the doctor so they gave me a prescription for more terbutilene and sent me home saying to get the doctor on Monday. When I went in he talked to us about bedrest and premature labor. Since I only worked 4 hours a day he let us make the decision about wether or not I would be on bedrest. It was a really hard decision, but we decided that I wouldn't go back to work. We didn't want to take any chances on having something happen to the baby. I go to the doctor every 2 weeks. Now that I am at 32 weeks in my pregnancy the baby will not be born with brain damage, however, she would have underdeveloped lungs, and that could be a problem. |
