QUESTION No 1:
Tell me, how does one get into Astrology? Okay, I go and buy a couple of books, but isn't there more to it? Sound silly, but does one have to be born an astrologist?
ANSWER:
Welcome and I hope you maintain this feeling of beeing comfortable cause that's the point of presenting Astrology like this... In order to get into Astrology you have to find someone who will draw your attention first (like me for instance). He or she will give you the motive... The next step is I'm afraid to read some of all these boring books that tell about the 12 signs and planets and all that... One way or another I'm afraid you won't avoid this entirely... It's like giving exams for the traffic signs when you want to get a drivers licence... Than you need experience and experience is only gathered when you experiment... make your own judgements and see the results... Statistics in your personal life is the best advisor to you to show you whether you're moving to the right direction.... And last but not least, yes, I'm afraid some are born to become astrologers or rather can become astrologers much easier than others, the same way some percieve art easier or others pure math...You see once all these books have been read and experience is there... there is something you can't develop, you're born with it and that is intuition... However to tell you the truth intuition is nothing if there is no modesty and so I hope to help you and everyone else through your first steps in order to maintain my modesty...:):) Glad to have you around and always at your service...
QUESTION No 2:
Do you associate with other astrologers in your experience with the stars?.
ANSWER:
Not regularly... Mostly it's personal experience and sometimes I seek for advice to elder ones... But my approach to astrology (as you might have suspected...) is not very conventional... I use it mostly for psychoanalysis... and less for predictions... I guess it's something like Siatsu or surgery... but on the emotional level... Astrology is very helpful to heal wounds... but only if it is done by "doctors" not by "proffesionals"...
QUESTION No 3:
I'm tortured by a question! Being born the day, the hour and the place I'm born, I sometimes feel "trapped" by fate, doomed in a way. I get the feeling, that whatever I do, everything is planned ahead of me! By the way, I'm a libra with my moon in scorpio and a goat in the Chinese horoscope! I know, this is not a place for "fortune-telling", but - is there an answer to my question?
ANSWER:
Try to read the lesson about Soul Incarnation... Perhaps we can discuss about it afterwards...
QUESTION No 4:
Hi! First I want to thank those who helped me with a chart. I have a lot of questions actually, but I won`t bother you with all of them. Just a few for now. OK, where can you see from a chart years (for example you said that Venus energises around 24)? And what does it mean energises?? One more question...Since I have T-square (Sun opp Moon and square Nep) does this mean that people who make with this Grand Cross (or whatever) help me (That should be Geminis, right?)? I read this somewhere on the internet... Thank you!
ANSWER:
Dear friend, there are some theories about when planets energise in each person's life... The two most common theories are:
1. The western astrology's
This claims that the life of each individual is separated in phases ruled mainly by a particular planet. The phases are the following:
0-4 Moon
5-12 Mercury
13-18 Venus
19-24 Sun
25-35 Mars
36-45 Jupiter
46-65 Saturn
66- Uranus
2. The Eastern Astrology's
This claims that there is a period where each planet is mostly and clearly activated... This is not a period as in the western astrology (from - to) but a peek point... (point of energise)...
(Although a western astrologer to be honest I have come to evaluate both)
Peek point for planets are:
16 - Jupiter
20 - Sun
24 - Moon
25 - Venus
28 - Mars
32 - Mercury
35 - Saturn
As for Venus in the 1st house, I wouldn't consider this a lucky position... (By the way I also have Venus in the 1st house)... Externally it actually does what you say, draws attention and luck... but it is a very difficult position for the psyche, because it makes people selfish, they are so used to people's attention, they take it for granted... It's actually one of the most difficult position for self evolution...Venus in general represents the luck and the ease and confort (Luck that comes from enterprise, not devine luck, that's Jupiter field)... So in order to explain Venus in various houses one rough scheme would be to see where and how does everyone of us have a lucky point...
If Venus is in the 1st house, it's usually the looks and the personality that gives fortune... Beautiful people with great smiles and all are the ones that make us give them presents, just for beeing who they are...
Venus in the 2nd house is the one that draws luck from manipulating material stuff like plain old money... Venus in the 2nd house usually creates bankers or real estate merchandisers...
Venus in the 3rd house is the one that benefits from transactions, meeting people, travelling short distance... Salesmen are here privilleged...
In the 4th house Venus gains from the old, antique collector, the stories, a teacher, a caretaker for chlidren and all...
In the 5th house Venus gains from the art, singers and artists would love to have one of those...
In the 6th house Venus loves to work, feels comfortable in a stable environment, has a perfet tidy office, with flowers and very inviting to all...
In the 7th house Venus gains.... from her husband ... -:)
In the 8th house Venus shows gain out of participating in common inheritence... for example a daughter who controls parents' fortune (but doesn't own it yet)...
In the 9th house Venus gains from social status, gatherings, friends, (a friend of a friend introduced me to a manager who is a friend of...
In the 10th house Venus likes to gain money on its own, is ruthless in negotiations always with a smile on a face, a typical career woman...
In the 11th house Venus gains by beeing part of a team, a member of an association, spending time in the club, eating there, drinking, not having to spend money on her own... (sharing friends' clothes)
And last but not least Venus in the 12th house, a Venus that gaind LOTS of money but nobody sees it, cause it is made in the dark, in secret... A priest, a nurse, a call girl (yes yes) usually have a position like that...
In general one could say Venus is here to make our lifes more comfortable... Just remember though, if we want to develop our psyche we shouldn't be TOO comfortable...
QUESTION No 5:
I hope this message doesn't post three times because this is my third attempt. If it does sorry to all. Hi Vas, I am new to astrology although I do find it interesting, and like other postings have mentioned I find your perceptions quite remarkable. You were recently discussing houses, and I have one or two questions if you don't mind. I recently got a download of my chart from the net, and I notice that I have quite a few empty houses, although they might contain a node or part of fortune, I know that an aspect can influence a house, or the sign of a house relate to a house that contains the planet of that sign. However I don't have anything in my first house (I think this house represents personality as does the rising sign in the first house. Indeed one half of my chart appears empty as most of my planets are in the fourth and eleventh house. Can you if possible clarify for me empty houses, and explain if they are weaker or less influential if they have no planet or strong aspect. I also notice my tenth house is empty, apart from north node or is it south? I wouldn't like to think my career might not develop. Thanks for any help.
ANSWER:
Empty houses are usually neutral... Of course asrtologers say if one has an empty house we should try to search the planet of the sign that the house rests upon, etc, etc but practice shows that usually empty houses are neutral... That means neither good or bad happens there, it's just something that doesn't bother anyone... For example my scope has all the planets but Mars gathered on the 1st and 2nd quartes of the chart... That doesn't mean I don't do relationships (7th house) or I don't have groups I belong to (10th house), it does mean though that if I do, it doesn't affect my life so much, I have other priorities so to say...Besides that we should keep in mind that houses work as mental functions... As in Carl Yung's teachings when a mental function is blocked somehow (usually due to squares) it has to develop to its opposite function in order to fill in the psychological gap... For example my scope contains Sun and Mercury in the 2nd house...
However these planets are squred by Uranus and Pluto and don't have other trines or sextiles to achieve selfexpression... This has forced me for some time to develop mental functions of the 8th house, which is the supplemental of the 2nd and which I probably would never have known cause I don't have any planets in it... What I'm saying is it is not as easy as it seems to determine whether a house is energized or not.... we need to be careful... Besides that there is the matter of middlepoints... There is an astrological theory that claims (correctly in my opinion) that there is a connection between the sign of the house and the planet of the sign that might nevertheless rest in a different house... (this theory you implied too...)
Now if this theory is correct it shows that there is a somewhat compromise between the sign and the planet in order to achieve expression of the matters of the house... For example if my 10th house rests on the 12th degree of Aquarius (literally) I have to seek out Uranus (or Saturn) to see where they are activated... Uranus rests on the 9th degree of Libra, so the middlepoint betwwen them rests on the 10th/11th degree of Sag in my 7th house... So although I have no planets in the 7th house, this house is indeed actiavted when it comes to matters of carrer because it hosts the middlepoint... The same result is valid for Saturn... Saturn rests on 1st degree of Gemini and the middlepoint to the MC is 6th/7th degree of Aries, which rests in the 11th house... Again the 11th house, that normally has no planets in in my scope, is beeing activated due to the middlepoints... What we can conclude out of all this is that to determine how and when a house is actually activated is not an easy procedure... it needs careful examination and re-reading the chart using various alternative point of views (like middlepoints) to discover views of it that we are not aware of at the beginning... I hope I answered your question...
QUESTION No 6:
Hi! I would appreciate it very much if you interpreted my chart. I don`t know so much about it.
My info:
14th September 1981
12.25 AM (25 minutes past midnight)
Zadar, Croatia
I am interasted which are the best /the worst aspects in my chart. Which are the strongest?
Would law or psychology be good for me?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
ANSWER:
Hey, about your square... it is not so bad... Not all squares are equally energetic... It only means you give in to dreams TOO much or you love acquaitances and fun TOO much... Neptune generally leaves dissapointment in its aspects (squares or not)... but this is not your main horoscope influence...
I'd say you have a mind born for managing... You get to know people easilly (Mercury/Jupiter conjuction), and later in your life you'll put the woman's touch to it (Venus energises around 24). Pluto grounds you, showing you your faults... and your peek will come around 30s when Satutn energises... You could also become a representative of somekind, a politician...? All this in the 10th house... definitely something public... Maybe a judge?
Well... I hope you do fine anyway... and for any other question you have... I'm at your sevice...
QUESTION No 7:
There is a very interesting pattern on Nov 2008?? Any feelings about what it might mean?
ANSWER:
There is a Saturn (Virgo)/Uranus (Pishes) opposition... and a Neptune/Chiron (Aquarius) conjuction square Mars (Scoprio)... Jupiter (Capricorn) Sextile Uranus, trine Saturn is letting the steam blow from the first... Pluto is doing halfsquares first with Mars then with Chiron... All is there for you people... I think it's a little complicated for answering immediately... but the Saturn/Uranus opposition probably means a new belief, a spiritual revenue in conflict with industrial or productive status quo... Mars square Neptune is not so bad, it scatters illusions a little violently of course... I'm more afraid of the halfsquares Pluto does...
QUESTION No 8:
I've been into astrology for many years, and have some suggesting helping others, but can't seem to be objective about myself. I'd appreciate your input. I wa sborn Sept 16 1941, Topeka KS, USA, at 2:36 PM. Any insights would be appreciated.
ANSWER:
A very interesting horoscope... First of all I see a T-Square of Mars, Venus and Moon (am I to suppose your relationsships are a hell of battlefield?)... Second a very promising triangle/two sextiles configuration designed to ease up your moon which is also the center of your T-Square... A very strong moon it is (in Cancer feeling home) but bomparded with Pluto in conjuction, Mars in Aries in square, Venus in Scorpio (alter ego of Aries) in another square... I also see some overoptimism (Jupiter in Square with Sun, Neptune) and daydreaming... but this is overcome with Saturn/Uranus conjuction (I envy you for this...) in trine with Neptune/Sun Conjuction... I see few trines, many sextiles and many sqaures which means, much work, much effort, some for nothing, some not... Planets gathered in the 3rd quarter, which means teamwork, dealings with others, some dependence and generally a view of life unseparated from others... you rarely do something just for yourself... A very creative horoscope my friend and if I may say so, much better now then when you were younger, since T-Square has matured now...
The main constructions I see are the Moon/Pluto/Chriron conjuction and the Neptune/Sun/North Node conjuction sextile Uranus/Saturn conjuction...
The first shows wounds my friend and lack of family loving... I don't know about your childhood or your ability to let go to people... You seem to have seeked confort in the father image (Moon in sextile with both Sun and Saturn, two faces of father image) and in escaping either in adventure (Moon sextile Uranus) or in fantasy (Moon sextile Neptune)... You felt comfortable near older people than you... as a little at least...
You probably had a substantial psychic development during this life... Your sun (concious psyche) is influenced but every major outer planet...) Of course you were not mentally aware of it (Mercury stays out of this pattern) but you learned discipline as long as innovation and giving in to situation currents simply as a drive without "deciding" it... You must have had some very important post... At least you had the abilities for such a task... When I say important I mean crucial like a nuclear reactor control manager (so crucial)... You are lost in yourself though... Your outer relationships never worked much, so you learned to look inside and trust within... That is the meaning of this encarnation anyway for you Logan... (North Node completes the Sun pattern)... That is your purpose... Everything else was so arranged that you wouldn't be temptated to live your main purpose... I think as a younger person you didn't realise the pattern... but now you do... and you're more peaceful for it...
QUESTION No 9:
I would like to know the general attitude of aspect interpretations. I believe the more i study, i more i believe there is not much differance between the Hard and the Soft. The Moon in aspect to the Sun whether Trine, Square, Conjunct, opp. I mean it's the same energy so to speak. People freak out when they learn they have so many' hard' aspects.
ANSWER:
You know books put everything in little boxes... Reality is a little different... In my opinion hard and soft should actually be named the other way around... I have noticed for example how people with too many trines are usually a bit more lazy, or spoiled and generally believe everything will come out of heaven... I'd say soft aspects what the character is conserned are not necessarily better, they're just luckier... And a scope with few squares in it and many trines shows usually bad character... The best would be to have some of both...
QUESTION No 10:
I do have a observation it seems like the transit of Uranus in Aquarius is sure flying by, in a couple of years it's going to move in Pisces. On one hand this transit has propelled us forward in the electronic arena and on the other all this mindless violence and airline crashes.
ANSWER:
I'm afraid Uranus in Pisces is about to initiate nationalism once again, fanatism and wars... It is possible to have a large scale war... Also the coexistence of Neptune in Aquarius with Uranus in Pisces will create an internal bond, through nationalistic fights truth is about to be revealed about who is manipulating the world and once truth is revealed this will initiate a new round of conflicts... I think we'll be longing for Uranus in Aquarius my friend pretty soon...Prepare for war...
QUESTION No 11:
What is your personal opinion of Asteroids in chart analysis?. Slowly but surely though, it's still a new concept but very fasinating i like dealing with Chiron, the missing link that deals with astrology interpretation and healing. I believe the asteroids interest started, when i sent for my chart wheel, on it had Chiron, vesta, juno, ceres, pallas. A little study made these asteroids pretty interesting. Chiron we know, vesta marks own obsession, juno along with venus helps the marriage chart along, ceres makes for our mothering instincts, pallas in the chart makes for possible goverment service. It's still a work in progress but it's fun, there are 100's of asteroids to be searched out.
ANSWER:
I realise this is quite in fashion in the US but personally I haven't dealt with it that much... I'm more into esoteric astrology and I until I have an esoteric analysis of this I don't think I'll followe... That's what I did with Chiron too, included him in my analysis only after I was presented the esoteric meaning of it...Sounds kind of interesting...Although I have a tendency to believe that we're heading towards a multiplanetary religion culture.... It has to do with the times... At the season of Ram, most Gods were warriors and artists (Libra), at the season of Pisces holy men and honest servants (I consider saints here equivalent to little gods regarding worship) at the season of Aquarius I guess we'll have the planets... the forces of nature... (and of course the Leo opposite, the movie stars!!!)... seems that like the romans we'll be driven to have a little god (planet, asteroid) for everything we do... how about the god of housecleaning, or car accidents? Still sounds interesting... even if only as an exersize...
QUESTION No 12:
Could you interpret my chart? I was born August 13, 1981 9:39pm Santa Monica, California. I have Leo sun, Aquarius moon, Aries rising. Thanks!
ANSWER:
Dear friend, there is much good and also some problems in your chart... I don't think I would be afraid of anything if I were you... You have a very stable background in your life having your moon in trine with Jupiter/Saturn conjuction... you have a very creative and imaginary mind with Sun/Mercury conjuction in Leo in sextile with Pluto and in trine with Neptune (are you an artist?) and generally you're a person who knows what he/she wants and has the ability to get it... Progress will be slow for you, don't expect radical changes, avoid as much as you can enthusiasm and sudden "opportunities", the sudden things usually disorient you...There is a sector of trouble... it has to do with your relations... You put to much fantasy in them, tend to disobay rules when passion overwhelmes you, you let yourself fall in destructive passionate situations, perhaps even violent to your soul and since all this is built around your passions (Mars in Cancer in fall whose negative influence is quite strong as the ruler of your ascendant) I'd say you should make every attempt to prefer people with ideals instead of passion to bring some balance to your soul... try to extract a lesson from every "master" of your passions you occasionally meet and try to transform him/her into a distant friend... This is a painful but certainly useful transformation for your occasionally sinful soul...
QUESTION No 13:
Can anyone expain Saturn in Sag. in the 12th house? I've heard conflicting opinions about this placement, does anyone care to share? Thanks...
ANSWER:
Well, out of personal experience I'd say Saturn in 12th house shows someone who has difficulty in letting loose, who always keeps a part of himself to his own, and is very suspicious to trusting... Saturn in Sag shows difficulty in associating with people except if it is for business purposes... and perhaps also difficulty in interacting with other cultures or strangers... unless it is some form of duty...
QUESTION No 14:
OK...square. I have astrology software where I read about my Mars (Leo) squaring Venus (Scorpio)and all that is written is absolutely true! It is really hard to live with. Any help would be appreciated, especially some good thing about this aspect (if there are any ofcourse). Thank you in advance! P.S. People with Aquarius Sun make a T-square with this, right?? And that is reeeeally bad, isn`t it!?
ANSWER:
Dear friend, if you ever find a person with Sun Aquarius, Mars Leo, Venus Scoprio as you say... hold on him tight!!!! And let me know... I'd love to meet him/her...! Things are not simple as books present them with astrology... You see aspects are a very complicated thing and perhaps you should read about the so-called T-Square... This is a combination of two squares (i.e. Aquarius-Scorpio, Leo-Scorpio) and an opposition (Leo-Aquarius). And this combination makes a very powerful person (in character) because the one square is balancing the influence of the other... The key planet is the one in the middle of this (it would be Venus here)... Do not be afraid of these influences... However in order to master these influences totally you will have to wait some time until your Venus/Mars influences unfold and this usually doen't happen until 26/28 of age... For now you are just at the beginning of experiencing your Sun unfolding and you will have a hard time with the other aspects... But it doesn't matter... In the end you (or whoever it is who has this) will become a powerfuil person in character and will have nothing to be afraid...
QUESTION No 15:
Dear knowledgable astrologers. I am a Virgo, Libra moon, Scorpio rising. I can't understand this sudden surge of power. I am high on life, I feel like I could conquer the world and I might just do that! Mercury is in retrograde until March 15th, am I having some reverse psychology or something? What is going on in the planets. This may be something I can't explain away with Astrology. Please help me let me know!!!!
ANSWER:
Generally, if you Virgo's have a Mercure in Leo, which is been opposed by Uranus... you'll feel it shake your buts for a year at least...
QUESTION No 16:
My man is a Cappy, and I love him very much. He is earthy and strong and very sensual, but also remote and would rather look at tv. I have tried to make this relationship work, but I am at the end of my rope. I am lonely, how can love hurt this much....I think he's got someone on the side, it's driving me nuts. He confuses me with mixed signals...but still I love. Help.........if I cheat on him, then his actions will be justified. Love him but losing my ground.
Thanks for listening........
ANSWER:
If I may say so... Capricorns are not very emotional... they are rather insecure inside and quite quite posessive on the outside... They don't let someone go if the relationship doesn't work, cause as long they posess someone they actually believe the relationship DOES work... No matter if there are emotional wounds or communication problems or freedom issues they judge with posessive criteria... He won't let you go lady... you will only let you go ... if you ACTUALLY live... or if he realises he can't control you... But if you're emotional he CAN control you, trust me Capricorns know ALL your buttons and they have no emotional problem to push them... A Capricorn is a good person only if you make him believe, he is your man, period.... if he knows you are his, he'll do everything in his power to make your life better cause he protects and promotes all his friends and people of his environment... He hates beeing well and see his friends in need... (which is something an aquarius would love...:):) )
QUESTION No 17:
I have an ex-boyfriend, now room-mate. He has no interest in sex, or other human beings of any kind. He's kind and trustworthy. He's a bore. The guy is Capricorn sun, Taurus Moon, and Venus in Capricorn. He has no creativity, he's a consumate couch potato. The remote is his wife! I have tried to breathe life into his little world. All attempts meet with the same results, no change, no motion. Dead in the water and loving it!!!!! Strange. It bugs me to see him so out of it! I want to help, but the more I try the more I know it's a waste of energy. My friend calls him the "sucking vortex", he takes my energy and turns it into self-pity and another reason to avoid people all-together. He's like a black hole. He can't see what he's doing, he thinks it's normal. I am a critical Virgo. I have to bite my tongue constantly. a Libra moon makes me more inclined to want to balance things out. Leave him alone and let him build his confidence, but he doesn't. He wallows. I am thru feeling guilty. I am only trying to help him. But I'm not. I know this. He may get a wake-up call, but I can't be it! He is almost 50, and is a virgin. If I had a nickel for everything I have heard him say, "I've never done that." to I'd be rich! His favorite phases, "I can't" and "I don't know." Those two are venom to me. I am at a stage when I need a motivator, not to be a motivator. I like the guy, he just frustrates me. Oh well, thanks for listening to my shpeel.
ANSWER:
Have you ever thought that he really DOESN'T need you? Your Libra Moon makes you feel sorry for him... but have you ever REALLY thought that perhaps he LITERALLY doesn't need you? Your Moon makes you desperate for someone that will ask for your presence and help in his/her life... FIND such a person... !! You beeing a Virgo perhaps makes it a little difficult to "listen" to your hearts desires... You need someone to make you react without thinking... (I'd love to see a Virgo do that some time...:):))... Anyway... follow your path...you are the one who "needs" him in the sence that you need someone to offer yourself... It might be hurtful but I think you can make it happen... Libra is an air sign and eventually your heart WILL understand... Wish you luck...
QUESTION No 19:
Hi! I want to discuss with u is the effects of transit Neptune in Aquarius. This planet is in conjunction with my natal Sun right now and everything looks as if its a dream. If anybody interested in this thing, Im ready to chat about it and more... :)
ANSWER:
I'd like to talk about Neptune in general... have a friend who had Neptune conjuct Venus last year... you two could get along fine...:) I understand it brings kind of laziness... one thinks God will take care of everything... don't need any personal effort... the same friend has A Neptune trine Mars trine Pluto right now and for 2000... what do you think?
I had an experience 1993-94 I think... I don't remember well... Neptune was in sextile to my Jupiter... I have a conjuction of those two on my natal... it seemed like so much fun... no boundaries... was allowed everything... rules kind of seemed not so strict... and I visited a school of divination for a couple of years... but you know at the end I didn't actually DO anything... it was all we'll see... everything will be fine... but nothing solid...
Another one was 1996 when Neptune faced my Saturn...I almost went to jail due to this...:) now I laugh about it but it is not to laugh... I felt I was allowed things but I wasn't... Neptune loosens up ethics I think... but you need a strong planet to keep this real... a sextile of Saturn would do... or Uranus passing buy...
Hope you had something to keep you on ground......
QUESTION No 20:
I personally think it is important to share feelings and personal experiences and generalizing is extremely important to me because and I need general pictures. What do you think?
ANSWER:
I 've been reading lots of articles lately. Personally I'm experiencing the first signs of my 1st Saturn return and so I've been grounding many things I've been reading in the past about astrology and estimations I've made. And since I have a Saturn in Gemini, my attempt is mostly focused on learning ACCURACY in communicating. And droping hastiness.
I believe that a very good way NOT to generalise is to ask questions about an issue instead of giving answers (unless the answers are truely obvious and accepted by all as Socrates did when he discussed in ancient Athens); answers unfortunately work most of the times as a subconcious restriction to other people's thinking horizon, since they are usually thinking something else or judging something differently and an argument of ours seems to restrict their perspective and perhaps even make them angry (literally).
As James Redfield mentions in his Selestial Prophecy "To find a good argument is a good way to persuade someone to grand you his energy" (remember politics?)
So I don't think generalising is the answer...
The answer we give when generalising is usually obvious. But is obvious also helpful? Hmm, perhaps it is more convenient... For example if we ask what is male and female? How about pink colour. Is it male or female? You know pink colour doesn't posess either a penis or a vagina. What about driving. Is this male or female?
It is true that details bring chaos to the mind. And that generalising is the ultimate aim. But have we ever considered how much time each of us waits before jumping into a hasty conclusion? Or is generalising again the easy path? Isn't it true that most of us fear an emotional status where we don't know the truth? Isn't it also true that most of us fear the mind's standstill and a status where the mind claims I don't know the truth?
Finally were we ever trained to keep emotional panic from bursting when we actually don't know what the truth is, so that we won't be forced by our emotional insecurity to jump into hasty conclusions?
If on the other hand we trully wait for life to show us whether our perceptions are true, if we wait to hear other people's perceptions to estimate whether there are others to share our view then aren't we most of the times leading our thought to a more creative behaviour where we can work with others for common progress?
QUESTION No 21:
I read a book about mythical astrology that pointed to the archetype of Kali as representing the dark side of the moon, this is a feminine side that is not soft at all in Hinduism.
This same book said that while Cancer represented "unity in the womb" it's opposite archetype is Neptune who dissolves unity.
Again, there is nothing "soft" about Neptune/Poseidon in ancient mythology-where modern astrology derives all of its symbolism.
I am bringing up these points not only because I have Mercury in Piscis and Moon in Cancer but because my individual experiences in life have shown me there are more facets to each planet and archetype than the stereotypes most people comfortably settle with.
Multiplicity should always be encouraged.
There is soft and hard in all elements and archetypes.
ANSWER:
You know dear friend that in Esoteric Astrology Neptune rules Cancer?
It is very interesting for every sign to know that in esoteric astrology it has a different ruler. Gemini for example has Venus, Virgo has Moon...
The esoteric ruler is the one that rules the signs a people incarnates into when he has taken the course of returning back to the world of ideas... Most humans right know still follow the course of leaving the world of ideas and entering the world of life, matter and physical experience.
Here are some esoteric rulers according to Alice Bailey's point of view...
Aries: Mercury
Taurus: Chiron (some say Efaistus)
Gemini: Venus
Cancer: Neptune
Leo: Sun
Virgo: Moon
Libra: Uranus
Scorpio: Mars
Saggitarius: Nibiru (Orpheus)(some say Earth)
Capricorn: Saturn
Aquarius: Jupiter
Pisces: Pluto (anybody said anything about Pisces beeing weak? :)
QUESTION No 22:
Celebrities aside, I can think of physically beautiful people from the entire gamut of the astrology circle. My Sun is in Capricorn, Virgo rising, Moon in Virgo, Venus in Scorpio, blah, blah, blah, and I don't know what the hell that's supposed to mean in regards to my astro-appearance. I just know how the opposite sex responds to me and what I look like in the mirror.
I've read postings that say a person, with this or that sign in Sun or Venus, is attractive. What about examples of people that you think are UNattractive? What sign is his/her Sun or Venus in?
ANSWER:
There is a rather beautiful definition of beauty. Beauty is energy. Don't we all feel posessive to beautiful things or beautiful partners? Don't beautiful people have it their way much easier?
According to James Redfield's Selestial Prophecy that's because they have more energy.
And moreover this progress of taking care of ourselves in front of the mirror, making up and all is actually not only changing our outlook but it unconciousloy increases our enrgy level. That's because the energy level is increased by love. And whom we love, including ourselves, we offer energy to.
This theory has a second fase. Since each of us is born under a certain ray of energy (this is different then a sign, it comes closer to the ruling planet) each of us beams and receives easier a certain type of energy. Therefore like magnets we attract and push away certain energy types customised to us.
This is why we all perceive beauty on a different level. Perhaps we don't feel beautiful when we make up yourself because that is not the energy you seek.
Perhaps we feel beautiful though when our pet (if you have any) likes us or if anyone likes you for that matter. What does liking mean? Why do we want others to like us? This theory says we do it because in loving us they offer us their energy, like the caveman who offered food to show his care.
And on the other hand there are people who suck this energy up. These people use consiously or not a certain way to saduce others cause in beeing saduced others seem to fall in "love" with them and offer them their energy.
This theory is nothing new, but it is interesting how it interprets beauty in form of energy.
QUESTION No 23:
Let me tell ya about my Pisces experiences. The ones that were very close were saints to the whole world but to their closets ones total hell terrors! Those sweet and easy going, love everyone, polite, compassionate, helping others little saintly minnows come home and turn into sharks and rip your throat out, should you expect the same from them.I have been their sacrificial lamb many times over, and I do it because they are wonderful to the rest of the world!Let's face it no one can be that good all the time,I just wish they all could find balance. They can get quite psycho!
ANSWER:
I think Pisces are wonderful if you're a mature person, because they teach us all how to consiously lose control and give in to craziness or divine guideness (not so far from each others these two). But if you have to settle things with yourself first, don't hang around them to much, they'll confuse you more. Pisces can't be understoof in means of our logical, linear thought world. They are dangerous, cause life is dangerous. And they show us that the safety boxes we build for our selves can easily be conquered by Piscean sweetness which operates like a trojan horse. I personally have been very hurt be them lots of times but I admire them a lot... It's just a matter of understanding, they are as they are and we are as we are and a Fish always lives on the "Live and let live" motto.
Have you tried enjoying Pisces instead of considering them as life mates or trusting them? Perhaps they don't want to be trusted either? Have you asked any?
QUESTION No 24:
OK, whoever said they still don't trust Pisces is generalizing again and that hurts my fragile feelings!
OK, so I can be manipulative and conviing, but only when I need to be. I make sure no one else gets hurt in the process and that it causes little damage.
But let me tell you, with my friends, I will do anything for them. Even people I don't know I am more than willing to give to.
However, once you screw me over, don't expect it anymore! ONly if it is unprovoked. However, oddly enough, the people that have hurt me and betrayed my trust I never did anything to ... but that's a whole other story!
So . . . just so ya know, there are some trustworthy fishies out there. Just DON'T cross me!!! :)
ANSWER:
I agree with you on the friends part... but I have some doubts about the family... Pisces 4th house is in Gemini...
I think it would be interesting to think about this "only when I have to" thing... :)
Isn't this exactly the centre of the issue? When exactly would that be? Are you sure the environment percieves the difficult situation when you impulsively do what you have to?
My personal experience, not beeing perfect, is that perhaps most Pisces have good intentions but somewhere on the way the don't like details. And that thing is what I admire on them at most...
QUESTION No 25:
I note that I seem to "have it in" for the water signs, yet I have a water sign rising and the moon in a water sign. But my sun-sign is fire, and I seem to have more trouble with the sun-sign water people than with the moon-sign water or rising-sign-water. I like and value both Cancer and Pisces, but they don't seem to like me very much. That is why I am being hard on them. Maybe they deserve it!
ANSWER:
Dear friend, I wouldn't put everything on the same bug...
Unlike what is generally believed I would dare to say Cancers and Pisces are not the very similar...
In my opinion they generally have different goals in life... and although they have somewhat similar behaviour their intentions seem to me quite different...
Also from my experience and that of some fellow astrologers had they also don't get along very well in a long term...
I don't know whether your statistics show something else...
QUESTION No 26:
I think the odd thing about water signs is . . . they're always hiding something. And they can be so sensitive, they tend to have low self-esteem and this is why, mostly up to the age of the Saturn Return, they can be weird to get along with. I myself have friends in all sorts of different signs. In fact, I don't think any of them are the same!
I don't believe I have ever met a Cancer that didn't second-guess themselves or feel unworthy of something or someone. This is when humility goes TOO far. No matter how much older they got they never knew what they were worthy of, but boy they always thought their familty and friends were worthy of the best attention. And I can admire that, having Jupiter in Cancer!
Pisces are just odd, even I don't understand Pisces and I am one! Everyone I meet I get along with on a deep, philosophical level - they are never afraid of getting "deep" with me, however, I don't always agree with some of the things other Pisces do - let people bring them down, drown themselves in addictions, or think too much of others. I believe in giving all you can to others, but if you don't give to yourself, you won't be around much longer to help the people you love!
Pisces also second-guess themselves (trust me!) especially in anything artistic ... I know I'm worthy of the best treatment I can get and I know I'm good at quite a few things, but ... I am completely unsure of my singing, my poetry ...
Even Scorpios have low self-esteem, which some people confuse with being strong people. Certainly a lot of them have a strength of will that is unique, some in areas of quitting bad habits and others in areas of eradicating those that do them nothing but harm to them. This does not mean they all have high self-esteem, however.
ANSWER:
The reason water signs can't be described easily is perhaps that in our modern world we tend to percieve senses as logical procedures and we are not trained to store and "remember" irrational information like smells or feeling of warmth and cold or gut feelings...
If ever there comes a time when we will manage this then we will undestand water signs... Before that it's all common sense (earth), conclusions (air) and insights (fire). Even Nublemoon can't resist, in my opinion, her Mercury's path and describes in words what can only be felt...
