Hercules 7th Labour (Libra)...

STORY: Hercule's 7th labour was to free the people from Erymanthus from a wild boar. This boar was terrifying the people of this town, it was destroying their cropses and it had brought fear to their hearts. Hercule's was given a somehow different kind of advise this time. He should complete the labour but he should also take time to recreate himself. This was somehow a strange advise since previously he was repeatedly advised to keep on focus. Hercules started his journey towards Erymanthus, but on the way to the town he met a Centaur friend. Cenaturs were strange creatures, half human and half horses but they were no monsters, they lived in organised societies and some of them were scientists and wise people. Along with his friend Hercules decided to spend the day since the advise for recreation allowed him so. Indeed he spent the day and the night with his Centaur friend and other Centaues that gathered together. They got drunk at night and there was some fight too with some of them killed and some injured. But Hercules didn't seem to be bothered of all this this time because he was always careful not to do something out of the ordinary and the expected. So, the next day when he was sober he continued with his journey to the town of Erymanthus. Once he reached the town he started asking people where the boar was last seen. He found out it had been seen on a nearby hill outside the town. So without wasting any time Hercules followed the tracks of the boar and when he encountered it he managed to capture it easily. After this he bound the boar's feet together and began his journey back to the city pulling the boar behind him. The boar was bouncing as he was pulled behind Hercules and fumed and showed his anger. It seemed like a very funny site for the people of Erymanthus as they so the once fearsum boar beeing pulled like a sack of old clothes. Hercules couldn't help himself either once he realised how funny he must have been looking with this bourdon behind him. They all started laughing together and so they spent the night in the town celebrating and moking the once fearsum boar.

SYMBOLS: This myth is somehow different than the others. In this myth Hercules seemes so much lightened up in compare to his previous labours. Previously the goal was to master focusing, to keep on going without losing his course. Once he did something wrong he felt so gulity and immediately impulsed to do something to make it right. This time things were different. All his previous labours had tought Hercules the hard way how and what he could and he couldn't do. He had learnt to stay on focus when needed, but not to overreact, not to maximize the importance of his task. He had learnt to respect others too besides himself and his duties and to undestand that all around the world there is a thin and very fragile balance that needs to be maintained if sin was to be avoided. The ancient greek word for sin is "amartia" and it means literally "going of course". It is exactly this that Hecrules had to avoid. Killing or injuring or relaxing was not necessarily a sin as long as it was necessary. Life had its own course and sin was to tryto go against the stream of events. In fact one should learn how to surf on the waves of life events always trying the keep his/her balance. This lesson is the lesson for Libras. Their task in life is to maintain the course of events based on their past lives knowledge and to understand the waves of life and follow them. The man of Libra doesn't follow strict rules, he/she judges based on the occasional situation. He/she undestands that the main task is to keep things going with minimized reaction, with minimized quarel with minimized struggle. Libra's labours are completed in joy, in laughter in agreement with people and public with the help of people and public, with minimized effort and with only concern to keep the balance on the thin sensitive line that draws nature from sin.
