There are therapists who have studied astrology and tried to match it with Carl Yung's lessons about psychoanalysis... And I think this effort is very important and it allows a modern person to understand about houses, without having the slightest clue about astrology... It is said by these astrologers/therapists that the houses are divided in four triangles... Each triangle represents a human's mental function...

The first/fifth/ninth houses triangle represents the function of intuition...

The second/sixth/tenth houses triangle represents the function of perception...

The third/seventh/tenth houses triangle represents the function of verbal communication...

The fourth/eigth/twelvth houses triangle represents the function of fantasy...

Now each of these triangles has three stages of development. The first is the level of the wish of the idea, the first icon, the initial intuition... This is representes by the fixed part of each triangle... That means that every triangle beginning rests in the fixed house...

The intuition triangle begins at the fifth house... the first intuition comes from art (fifth house), or a child or other "intuitive" situations... A fixed house shows a situation, or better a stable non changing situation... imagine it like a museum of art and paintings... where you draw inspiration from...

For the perception triangle start is situated on the second house... first impulse comes from iminent material surroundings...

For the communication triangle it is the eleventh house... our friends, who with share the same ideas with and who provide us with the initial insentive for the communication procedure... (in other words they give us a call... -:))

And for the fantasy triangle it is our sleep, our subcontious... in the dark of our room... the slightest wound brings up a series of dreams...

The second level of the house triangles is effort... Effort is shown in flexible houses... such as the ninth for intuition (the house of exploration, pioneering, in other words trying out each and every intuition that we have, probing, testing)...

For the perception triangle it is the sixth house, the house where we learn to try out forms in matter, cures in wounds, rearranging everything and never beeing sure of the little details (more or less as Virgos do)...

The communication triangle levels up to the third house of keeping companies... The ideas that arise in our minds have to be exchanged with everyone close, to get feedback, to try out forms of interacting...

For fantasies the best place to try them out is the night... the tempting night of the twelvth house, where we all gather together and let wine open our minds and allow the currents of dreams to fladden our wine table between hugs and songs...

Last but not least we come to the level of main houses (equivalent to cardinal signs)... This is the place we want to show off our results... to reach the point of recognition...

For the intuition, it is the first house, our own self, the judge of our intuitions and the result of testing out various intuitions is concluding with a major one... one that allows a whole new circle in our lives... (first house of the 12)...

For the perception, it is the 10th house, where we enjoy material recogition, promotion, money, social status...

For the communication, it is the seventh, when we eventually find our other half, the person that makes our ideals real that brings in life what we would like ourselves to be but aren't...

And for the fantasy part, it is the fourth house, our family, the place where our dreams become shared and a constant reality, shared by the family itself, our room, our place, where we can express them every day in safety and in no fear...

I know many astrologers have tried to explain houses in a traditional method, assigning words to every house but I always like this presentation better... I hope you do too...
