Some hints for beginners...
I'll start with some basics as I think of them... and please experienced fellow astrologers take on where I leave for today....
The theory behind astrology is that there are energy fields around humans, animals, stones even whole planets... Esoteric astrology teaches us that planets are higher beeings living their lives on a higher level than ours, beeing responsible for teaching creatures on lower levels (just like we're supposed to take care of nature or animals).
Now each planet is a beeing trained to exersize its concious mind on a specific energy quality... Imagine yourself beeing with grownups, you beeing just 9 or 10 years old, each grownup one so different, so distant, having to teach you so much, you thinking that you're unable to influence them on any way...
Sun is the one responsible to train our life force... this is actual energy running in our beeings, it's not metaphysics... Let's just say Sun is gasoline for our engine... With this empty there is no car.. no travelling...
Moon is much closer to us... the battery of the car... draining energy from the engine and keeping it as much as it can... It comprises everything we take for granted, i.e car lights, heat, electric windows... everything which surrounds us and makes us live comfortable...
Mercury is the computer telling us where there is traffic... and all the buttons on the front board...
Venus is how the car looks to others... old?... painted...? classy...?
Mars is the behaviour of it on difficult roads... is it able to climb up the mountain or does it stay behind?
This is where the so called personal planets end... The outer planets that follow are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto...
Jupiter is the course we follow along with other cars...the traffic habits.. the traffic behaviour...the jokes we make on the road...
Saturn shows the holes on the road carpet...!
Uranus shows earthquakes that happen when we're on the road...and car accidents...
Neptune is the picture a helicopter has of all the traffic down the street...
Pluto is our obsession to keep driving every day... despite traffic, accidents, lost time... it's in our blood, we can't deny our cars...
Now, I hope I have given some beginners a picture of what astrology is actually about...
