Hercules 11th Labour (Aquarius)...

STORY: Hercule's 11th labour was to clean up the stables of a greek king named Aygeias. This king posessed many animals and was proud of his wealth, but he had found no man up to that moment that could solve the problem of his stinking tables. The smell of the stink was travelling miles away and Hercules felt a bit dissapointed by the fact that after all the labours he had accomplished and the things he had gone through he was to carry out such a stinking, boring, unheroic task, so far from what he thought a hero should do. Is this what he had to use his mature stregth and will for?

Hercules presented himself in front of the king and announced he would carry out the task without reward.

"Without reward?" said the king. "This is the first time someone asks me to do something for me without reward. I tell you this. I don't feel comfortable with it. If you manage this task, one tenth of my horses will be yours, otherwise your life will belong to me."

Hercules approached the stables in a heavy step. As he approached he noticed two small rivers passing through the area. Suddenly in all his calmness of mind an idea shined inside his head. It was so easy afterall, but yet so radical. Hercules brought down the walls of the stables that faced the rivers and changed the currents direction to flood the stables. All the stink and the dirt vanished in just a day. What others needed years to accomplish Hercules did in just a day.

Hercules presented himself in front of the king to claim the reward. The king was angry.

"You fooled me" he said. "You used tricks to carry out the task. You expect a reward now? Get out of here before I arrest you!" Hercules left the kingdom in dissapointment...

SYMBOLS: This is a typical aquarian story. An Aquarian is a person who already possesses wisdom inside, but somehow has been forced to "return to earth" to put his wisdom in service of the mankind. But the problem is he doesn't accomplish any heroic deeds as we would like to. He is presented all the cases that noone else wants cause they are boring and complicated. Poor Aquarius... thinking "Is this the service I am to offer the world? Where are the big challenges?" For these deeds an Aquarian expects no reward. It is an unworthy task to clean up other people's dirt, how can someone ask reward for something so stinky? Other people are amazed how an aquarian carries out such tasks without reward. He seems to others so "weird", so "lunatic". He carries out tasks noone else wants without reward.

Then comes the time when the Aquarian has to complete the task. Typical Uranus energy coming from the spirit divides the skies and lands in the aquarian mind, without through, just inspiration, an aquarian doesn't think as a Gemini to conclude to a solution, the solution is already there, evident in the mind. All an Aquarian needs is to call for his spirit, clear his mind and the lightning comes. This electrical energy becomes evident in reality. An Aquarian breaks walls of human jails and prejudice and uses the nature's law in his benefit. He uses superhuman currents and energies, he only can distinguish in human's favour. These energies flood inside the society's still waters and take all the filth with them. Nothing stays behind. What mankind needed centuries to accomplish is happening in just a decade. Nothing stays the same. People seem so amazed by the power of that person, who seemed so "unworthy" of attention as his only interest was to deal with "unworthy" problems, such as cleaning up someone else's dirt. Now they seem to evaluate him more. But they are also jealous, because their own nudity is now revealed, their necessity is no longer a thing taken for granted and new heroes are in town. So they deny recognition to this new hero, they make his life difficult...

And the Aquarian? Still disappointed by the ignorance of people he leaves them and goes to his next task. "Forgive them Father, he says, for they not know what they do"
