LAINAH'S SHORT STORY...

.... ALAINAH IS 7 MONTHS OLD!

It is a fine spring day, and Alainah woke up from her nap, ready to play. As Mommy leaned over to pick up Alainah from her crib, she gave Mommy a big smile. And guess what Mommy saw? There was Alainah's first tooth! A perfect little white tooth it was, too. "Oh, Alainah," Mommy said, "You look so precious with your new tooth. I can't wait for everyone to see you!"

Alainah smiles again and coos. Listen to Alainah. Did she really say "Mommy"? Alainah starts to wiggle in Mommy's arms. She wants "down" so she can play. Mommy puts Alainah on the floor. Watch Alainah go! Alainah scoots herself all around as she picks up her favorite toys. Today, the blankie is her favorite. Tomorrow it might be something new. Picking up things is easy for Alainah now that she is such a big girl.
