| Work in progress. As soon as the 'Pit is up and running I'll get some pics. The new plan: A new 347W. Since the 347 has a loose wrist pin I decided to build a new motor. What better than to go with another 347? The parts in mind: 302 roller block bored .030 over line bored and torque plate honed. Probe 3.4" stroke 3140 forged crank Probe 5.315" H beam 3140 forged rods Probe forged flat top pistons - notice the rod length....only 347 pistons on the market that does not require a spacer in the oil ring land............not an oil burner. Converting to Carb - Edelbrock RPM Airgap and Super Victor intakes Holley 3310S 750 vac sec carb and 850HP (different intakes for street/strip) DUI HEI Distributor...yes HEI Heads - AFR 205's Pickrel 1 3/4" long tube headers - dual 3" exhaust with Flowmasters. Cam- Custon grind (Solid Roller) or Comp 288SR with 11.02 SCR This project will take time as money and time, mainly time, is at a premium. I will post progress as it happens, whenever I get around to starting on it!.......have an '87 roller block and the rotating assembly............. |
