This page is dedicated to The Honda CB900F Super Sport, one of Honda's true all around great riding experiences. I am the proud owner of a 1981 Cb900F, They were only marketed in the Canadian Market for 2 years, making the canadian edition a rare find anymore. They are surprisingly nimble and even today are a worthy adversary of some of the new sport bikes. It is powered by a twin cam 16 valve, 902 cc four cylinder engine. The engines on these bikes give a surprising shot of torque at and above 4800 rpm. They have 5 speed gearbox and are chain driven. With a top speed of well over 200 km/h (ive had mine at 240 and it was still accelerating!) I have a Voodoo style Cafe Racer windfairing on it, these Voodoo's are even harder to find than the bikes, Voodoo has gone out of business and finding one is hard enough let alone finding parts for them. My 900f has 36000 Km's on it and still runs top notch. The only major disadvantages to these bikes are a very stiff gearbox and a tendancy for the rear wheel to spin while upshifting hard. All in all my cb900f is a great bike and it's a rewarding experience everytime I ride. |
