We (Li'l Brit, my cousin Bob Smith and I) attended our first show in September 2000 in Indianapolis, Indiana. As you can see, it was fruitful. We received one of two awards for excellence in the "Diamond in the Rough" category. The weekend included tech sessions,
a fun rally based on "who Wants to be a Millionaire?" through beautiful countryside , a show featuring Lotus and Riley automobiles, and a dinner with the main speaker being Mr. Mark Scott of Riley and Scott. However, the highlight of the weekend was a lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Formula 1 track. Only six days prior, cars were traveling at over 225 MPH around the same track. Though we were limited to only 30 MPH maximum (an Indianapolis Motor Speedway policy), most cars travelled at only 20 - 25 MPH (except for the corners which were at 30 MPH). it was a total rush!

The following plaque occupies a place of honor on my new carbon fiber dash which includes new Stewart Warner guages.
