Rust Never Sleeps
2002's 1600's and the like have some fairly substantial rust issues, as everyone knows. My 74 is a good study in where they tend to rust. I have two bad shock towers, the spare wheel well, the trunk sides, the front drivers side floor pan, in the front inner fender and a couple of other areas where it's just minor. I'm going to try and document every last bit of it and how I went about fixing the problems.

One of the shock towers had already been patched. It doesn't look too pretty but it's DAMN strong and theres no spots for water to get trapped. The other side is going to need to be replaced.

For the time being I've just used fiberglass to repair the non-structural rust in the spare wheel well.

I will soon weld new material into all the other spots that have rotted away. Thankfully there is next to no problems that require visual bodywork (something I don't have the patience for)

Check back and I'll have a ton of before and after pictures :)
