My 63' SUV
In 1945, Brooks Stevens,  a Design Engineer with the Willys Overland Company created the first all-steel station wagon in the US.  However, his design contained more than just typical wagon features for the dynamic post-war car & truck market.  These vehicles were built with factory features that allowed them to be used as a wagon and off-road utility vehicle. Soon the Willys Wagon was selling as a 4x4 with heavy duty suspension, PTO's, winches, and other features used off-road. From that point forward, the Willys Wagon has held the distinction of the "Original SUV" in America.

My 1963 Utility Wagon came originally from Montana. I shipped it to my home in Florida in 1999.  It was a stock, rust-free, original wagon that made the perfect restoration candidate. This wagon has undergone a complete 100 point frame-up restoration. The restoration was completed in May of 02' by Steve's Executive Cars in Tavares, Florida.  Steve and Steve Sr. are known nationally for superior workmanship in restoring classics..  Steve Sr. who did much of the work, is a AACA National Show judge.  I supplied all of the NOS and replacement parts along with a detailed book of documentation and pictures to insure correct restoration. Original parts came from as far away as Austraila.  My 1963 features many factory options not normally found on these basic vehicles such as a Warn Overdrive, front PTO with PTO-Overdrive adapter,  Ramsey 8000 lb winch with factory winch bumper, spotlight, cigar lighter, seat belts, two-tone paint, and the original AM Bendix radio. The original 140 hp  "Tornado" 230-6 was rebuilt along with the Spicer T-90 3-spd transmision and all other mechanical components.  The  interior is new textured vinyl patterned after the original late 62' pattern with some slight modifications to insure durability. The exterior is finished in DuPont 2-stage paint in the orignal "spruce tip" green.  My 63 is not a daily driver but does enjoy fair weather cruising in sunny Florida.
