In Loving Memory
of my Mom,
heart wreath
Evelyn
(November 22, 1946 - June 26, 1996)

My mom, Evelyn Banaag Saria, was a great woman.
She was a faithful servant of God, a loving daughter,
granddaughter, and sister; a devoted wife for 26 years,
and a wonderful mother to her two daughters,
Myrh Lee and Marissa Ann.

Mom had a deep faith in our God, our Creator.
She was blessed with many talents.
She sang in a beautiful, soprano voice.
She was talented in choir conducting, teaching, and counseling.
To friends she was known as someone who cared deeply
about others and gave her time and her love.
Mom was truly a giving person.

To her family she was invaluable.
Her unexpected departure for heaven left a deep void.
She gave us all of the love that God had given her.
Her love, her smile, and her laughter
are what we fondly remember.

Mom, I know that "one sweet day" we'll see each other again.
Until then....I miss you so much!
I will love you always,
-Myrh Lee

Our beautiful Mom

~ What Mom Took ~
Most often when we think of Mom
We think of what she's given,
The softness of a loving touch,
A gentle guide for living,
A nightly tip-toe in a room,
An understanding look;
But, sometimes when I think of Mom
I think of what she took:
She took a child and taught it how
To live this life with pride.
She took those kindergarten tears,
And kept them all inside.
She took the hands that longed to hold
Her child and not let go.
Used them to push her child along
The way, to thrive and grow.
Took time to do some other things
Like sew and clean and cook,
And never thought to ask for thanks
For all the things she took.
Thanks, Mom.

We LOVE you, Mom!
Love always,
M & M
(& Jeremy ~ whom you have not yet met)

Here is your smiling granddaughter, Julia,
whom you will one day also meet in heaven.
Shortly after she was born, I remember watching her
as she slept....her angelic face brought me a sweet glimpse of you, Mom.
