"Resistance is Futile"
This site is where we are going to post the detailed pictorial restoration of our 1963 Galaxie from start to finish.  This restoration will not be show quality original. Instead it will be an asphalt eating grocery getter with meats when we get through. (Translation: A really fast car with wide ass tires on the rear that you can cruise around town in.)
Our Beginnings...
1980 - 1987:  Our first car, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, went through many transitions. (age related).  It was sold in Corsicana, Texas in 1987 due to "life happening."  It ran 7.70s on an 1/8 mile track. Out of curiosity, would like to know location and current condition if anyone has access to that.
VIN: 124379N567497, Texas License 135 ASX.

The Galaxie...
October: We found out about the Galaxie from our daughter's boyfriend Justin.   He told us the car was bought by his father to be turned into a race car but he had decided to restore a truck instead. It had been sitting out in a pasture with the windows down for about 5 years.  We contacted Mark (the dad) and bought the Galaxie for $100 bucks & Mark even had a car trailer and helped us get it home.
