Joe, It is time to go. As I walk into the barn, I call to my horse, Joe. "It's time to get saddled and to the pastures we will go. We got to get goin' before the sun gets any higher now, If we wanna get back home here in time to eat our chow. We gotta ride the pastures and find all of them old cows. Heck, there ain't no tellin where they are any old how. In this pasture, we will ride this fence over on this side. Shoot, if we even see a coyote, we will skin his hide. We will hang it over the fence for all his buddies to see. They'll know this is where they ain't supposed to be. Them lousy critters howl all night and keep me awake, They even keep that dang dog howling too! Poor old Jake! Joe, see that big ol' diamondback rattler over there? We better watch out for them suckers, so walk with care. They say one will rattle before he will strike and bite me. Bring that mistaken fool out here and we will let him see! Them old rattlebugs bite and don't give a dang! They just wanna bite you and sink that sharp fang! We are too far away to get any of their nasty bites. Heck, let them city people talk about their life flights! That bird ain't got a chance out here to get us back, We just carry what we need in our own gunny sacks. Look Joe, we got us a newborn calf over there! Dad gum old mamma cow ain't around anywhere. I never understood how they will calf and just walk away. That young feller will lay there all day and never even stray. Looks like we got us another hungry mouth for dinner tonight. I gotta get him up in my saddle and tied on tight. I guess we should go ahead and head back towards home. Them old cows are still gonna wildly these pastures roam. Joe, you know for a long time you have been my friend. I wonder how many more years before our trails will end. We have ridden many miles in these pastures, you and I. How many times have we slept out under the stars in the sky? There just isn't any place else where I would like to be. Joe, it is you my friend, me, and all of God's beautiful country. Them uptown city folks think they have it made, I would rather be out here under my cowboy hat's shade! Riding all day in this here hot sun and turning brown all over. Heck, there ain't anything better than bein' an ol' cow drover! You get up early and are with your best friend all day. Joe, you don't even get upset at anything I do or say! We do all that we can that needs to be done. Our time clock is punched by the rising and setting sun! We will make it home once again before the setting sun light, Funny how that little old shack is one heck of a welcome sight! We will put this little feller on the hay over here, You can keep him company by stayng pretty near. Here is your oats, sweet feed, and some extra hay, And thanks for being my trusty partner for another day. I am going to go to the house and get off my feet, Sit on the porch, kick off my boots, and have something to eat. Get some rest, sleep, and have a good night, And remember, I will see you once again at first sunlight."
Sweet Dreams of You I am dreaming a dream of you. My mind sees a picture of you. My heart knows who you will be. Even if my eyes can not see. I know exactly how you feel, Even if your touch is not real. Your heartbeat I can hear, Even if it is not with my ear. The sweet smell of your essence flows, Even if I do not smell it with my nose. Tonight I will lay down and go to sleep, So all of these memories of you I can keep. My mind will see you every single night. But I will not have you until the time is right. |

Are you getting on or getting off? Have you ever seen a giant train depot? It is full of trains and people on the go. They go here and they go there. If you buy a ticket, you can go anywhere. You can go north, south, east, or you can go west. The trains go in every direction and without any rest. They run all the night and they run all the day. No matter when or where, they will leave on their way. They rumble, rattle, and make a loud noise. They are not quiet like the little kid's toys. There are people coming and people going. The confusion in there just keeps growing. And sometimes you can not find the right train to take, And then sometimes one of the trains will break. This broken train will change the way things are done. No matter how bad it is, on their schedule they will run. It will even overload another train or two, But they do not care if there is a seat for you. You are but one out of many that need to ride. Take the wrong train and you will be left on the side. You do have to know when and where you are going. These trains are on a schedule and never, ever slowing. You need to know which track is the right one for you. Sometimes you just have to stop and figure out what to do. You may miss the right train that you needed to take, And then have to take two trains because of this mistake. They will all run together at another time and another place. It is a never ending piece of confusion in our human race, So we must learn to plan another way to go, Schedules will change and the new ones we will not know. Our lives are like this train station in many ways. Things in our lives will change and create lots of delays. We will not know how to get where we need to be. Everywhere we look will be tracks as far as we can see. To finally get there, we may suffer a lot of delays and pains, But, we will make it, even if we have to take several trains.

In a time, long, long ago.... I travel down this road on my new quest, To fight these dragons that are the best. I ride onward with my faithful steed that is old. And we go forward to fight with strength untold. We travel this road that is long, narrow, and dusty. My armour is old, tattered, and a little bit rusty My long sword is broken and a little bit bent. In battles and conflicts, the time it has spent. Time and time again, my spear has hit its mark. Even when times looked bad and awful dark. My rusty old helmet in the top has a ding, That is where a dragon slapped me with his wing. These dragons are here and they are there These little creatures come from everywhere. Dragons are supposed to be far and few between. They are terrible creatures that can not be seen. I may look like a terrible and worn out sight, But when it comes to my dragons, I will stand and fight. One day there will not be a dragon anywhere to be found. I will have won all of my battles, for I stood my ground. I will hang up my armour, my sword, and my spear, For that is the day when the last dragon will disappear. Forever they will be talked about in legends and lore. The day of my evil dragons will be forever no more.

Hand in Hand and Heart in Heart I ask you to take my hand and walk with me. Let us go and see what we can do and see. Walk beside me and help me with decisions to make And they will show us down which roads to take. There are many places and things to see and do. I want to be there and do them all with you. I do not want to go anymore through this life alone. In all of my past loneliness, this I have been shown. I have been given many things to share with you, And this is one of the greatest things I want to do. I can give you all of the physical things I can, But these are only the temporary things of man. I want to give you all of the things from my heart. I hope these feelings you can sense from the start. We can travel this vast world and all kinds of things see, But no matter where we go, I want you there with me. I hope these things from me you can understand, And it will all start with your holding my hand.

Don't ever forget a Friend You came into my life as a friend, I did not know if or where it would end. I could not say where it would go. I could not tell you things I did not know. I feel a hurt that I can not explain. These words will not come out of my brain. I will make this journey all alone. Until one day the light I will be shown. I will forever hold you in my heart, For in my life's journey, you played a big part. You saw me when I would hurt and cry. Through all of this, beside me, you stood by. I feel I must go to a faraway place now, And start my life all over again, somehow. I must go alone and start my life all anew. I am sorry, but this I had to choose to do. Do not hate me after I have gone away, For I may come back yet another day. I do not know what I am supposed to do, So I ask for your support to me from you.

Help? When I go left, it should have been right. When I think it is day, it is really night. When I think I am right, I am wrong. When I stop, I should move along. When I did not eat, I should have ate. When I am early, I am always late. When I feel good, I am hurt. When I am up, my face is in the dirt. When I look happy, I am really sad. When I do good, it is always bad! When I am here, I am really gone. When I am with people, I am alone.
